I had the misfortune of purchasing a Lewes, DE home where Leanne Wilkinson was representing both…read moresides. It was clear that she was only worried about her own interest. She was not only nasty any time something was up for negotiation and I questioned it and was looking out for my own interest but was also unethical . She misled and deceived to complete the transaction. She withheld information, breached confidentiality and crossed boundaries. She claimed a licensed plumber completed work when in fact it be was found to be completed by an unlicensed acquaintance, and she deliberately went out of her way to cover this up amongst other things. She constantly blamed both of the agents involved in the transaction every chance she could behind their backs when in reality, her own actions caused the issue. When my desire was expressed to wait for the work to be done before closing she had a fit & took it upon herself to communicate with my movers under false pretenses. She also blamed the seller for various items which have since been confirmed were not the case, in one instance it was from her lack of client confidentiality and limited ability to control her emotions during a business transaction. It's unfortunate because my agent did a nice job but his work was overshadowed by her aggressive shady practices. I also noticed another post on here where it looks like she did the same in a very similar situation. We will never buy another home from her And wouldn't recommend to anyone who is looking to deal with any sort of ethics and class in their transaction.

She offered us sound advice and direction, but the thing that made me appreciate her so deeply ( and this is what made me choose her as my realtor) was this: She saw my house through my eyes. Ours was not an easy property to appreciate. It was an antique, built in 1895, and and we had only lived in it sporadically since 2009. An old house needing care, lots of it just to maintain it, in our youth my husband and I had happily done that to enjoy its spacious rooms, its three floors, the acre of yard. We raised our children there and half the neighborhood kids as well. They could make those old walls shimmer with laughter and generally joyful whooping. It was our family home where we had laughed with and at each other, eaten countless meals and celebrated holidays and at least 100 birthdays around its big table, held each other and cried through our tragedies; it was our safe space. Lori got that. She could see its unique value; to her it was more vintage than old; she told me often how special a property it was. After living in it for 36 years, I needed to hear that. I felt like I was leaving an elderly grandmother who complained often and needed support but was always there to shelter and protect. Ultimately the buyer who came to us had been a child my husband and I had nearly helped raise, our daughter's best buddy and playmate, now a young father with kids of his own. He and his family need all that our home has to give and in turn I'm sure they will rock those old walls with their own good noise. My husband and I have settled in the warmer climate of Georgia, and Lori made it so convenient that we didn't even have to attend the closing. She took care of it all. Horrible real estate service. I'm in the middle of a contract and I have been treated terribly by a…read morerealtor in this office. I should have given this sale to someone else. I'm not from the area. I knew the house I wanted. I called this office because they had this house advertised. The owner of this company answered the call and assigned me to an agent that was not friendly to me from the start. I basically handed her the sale. Looked at the house and decided to buy it that day. Even though I wasn't thrilled with her I felt a moral obligation to give her the sale because she showed me the house. That was such a bad mistake. It was like pulling teeth to get her to provide normal services. Other people that I engaged with during this process have told me that my realtor should be helping me more. What should be a dream come true experience has unfortunately been like a bad dream.
