Do no use this business. The manager has zero customer service skills and treated me in an unprofessional manner. He has an unfriendly y demeanor that is offsetting. I dropped off paperwork for them to prepare a one page legal document and they first wanted to charge me almost $500. They then agreed to $120 and then wanted to charge extra for notary fees even though my document did not need to be notorized. Then after several weeks my document was not ready, when I called they said it would be another week. the manager acted like he didn't care about the delay and said I could take my business elsewhere which I did. Only problem I had was I never received the last document that said the divorce was finalized I guess it was lost in the mail but when I called him he directed me on the right direction to get the documents from court he even offered to go find them at the court for me. I've used the services at this establishment twice before. Both times they were during the week around mid afternoon. Both times there was 1 older white male there who is rude and comes across as condescending tool. He makes you feel as if you're wasting his precious time. The first time I went here I needed to get a time sensitive document notarized. I put up with his nonsense because of my time constraints. A few months later I needed to get some paperwork notarized for my daughter who lives in Texas. It wasn't until after I was face to face with this man that I recalled my previous experience. I explained to him what I needed to get done and he went off on a 5 minute tirade of what I had done wrong and how most people also commit the same mistake and what I needed to do was the following... He made it seem as if I was a special needs person who lacked the intellectual capacity to comprehend the formal procedure required to properly construct a document acceptable to his standards. As I may understand that he has to take pride in his work, being that his stamp or signature gets applied on a specific document. I still feel that there is a right and a wrong way to get this point across. I do NOT recommend this establishment, save your time, money and patience by going elsewhere. read more

I have to give a warning to individuals who are considering having business with this company. The individuals that work at The Document People lock ethics. I discover that they lie and cheat you out of your money. After discovering that the individual I hired at The Document People notified my ex-husband, that he was creating my Will. I was up sad that my privacy right were violated, so I requested a refund. After which, I was verbally mistreated by phone. Once I decided to go to court for this matter, they agreed to give my refund back. The person in charge of The Document People in Oceanside send me an invoice with the correct and full amount in writing, however, the check he send me was less than the amount on the invoice.
