The Davery Establishment is easily the most interesting cafè in Murray Bridge in terms of decor. It could well be considered as the cafè equivalent of The Murray Bridge Embassy of inner-city Adelaide, with it's crisp retro furniture and interior, friendly hipster staff and general grooviness factor.
For better or worse, the retro style of The Davery is very clean-cut, and more towards mid-century timber furniture rather than laminex and vinyl.
The food and coffee is... Good... considering we are talking about Murray Bridge here. The temptation being to compare it with the best of Adelaide - which wouldn't be exactly fair.
Coffee was a little 'light' flavour-wise for my taste, but whatever. You might prefer it that way. Total Bonus was getting it served in authentic 1960s retro cups with a commemorative spoon.
So yeah. This place is definitely worth a visit if/when you are in MB, even if just to check out the brown and orange panelled feature wall and loll around on a well preserved old sofa. read more
