A lovely space that is perfect for anybody. From the Mummy with a pram that needs a caffeine fix from sleepless nights, to Great-Grandmas that need a break from their charity shop shopping... and all those in between. A good selection of seating areas to suit people who want to get some work done, or instead catch up with friends. The coffees are all well made and it's so refreshing to taste their guest beans that change regularly. I can also vouch for the food here. The brunch menu is served until mid afternoon and I can HIGHLY recommend the pancakes! But the food ranges from bagels to egg bennies to avo toast to toasties to bagels to sandwiches to salads. All great quality and reasonably priced. They have also opened a new place in Derby which just shows how well they're doing. Bear Coffee truly makes living in Uttoxeter, that little bit more "bear"able.

Has a brilliant fruit and veg stall that also sells flowers, although this does not claim to be local - just good value for money. Sells the best bacon anywhere. Several different bakery stalls, including one that caters for people with allergies and takes special orders for birthday etc cakes. Two or three stalls selling local chicken and duck eggs - much nicer eggs than those from the supermarkets - with lots of double yokers.

The prices are so reasonable, why anyone would go to Costa and pay double the price for half the quality I will never know! Mario & Jo offer such a warm welcome, you feel like an old friend the moment you walk through the door. My personal…read moreranking of English supermarkets (based on quality) puts Waitrose in the top tier, Sainsbury's not far behind and Morrisons and finally Tesco behind them. For me the drive to the nearest Waitrose (this one) is 20 miles but worth it. Think we decided yesterday to do our routine shop at Sainsbury's as usual but make a trip to Waitrose for a special shop once every 2 or 3 weeks. Their flowers (a must for Mrs G) are great quality and well tended. Nice touch - as you check out they ask if you want special wrapping (which I gather was free of charge) also back at my care a young man comes over to take care of my cart. The fruit, veg, cheese, fish, meat all fresh, excellent and well presented. To be honest the bakery could do with improvement. That said - you can't go wrong at this lovely Waitrose!
