Druckers is on the expensive side, but that's because it's a posh little cafe. There are never squalling children in here, because parents don't usually want to buy their child a £5 chocolate mousse whilst on their way to The Entertainer. It's just quiet, couth adults reading or having a quiet chat over their delicious Viennese treats. Druckers also do very nice sandwiches, toasted or non, and some nice savoury salads and a few other sides. Their coffee and selection of teas are broad and all very tasty. The service is nice and polite without being cloying. It really is a nice quiet atmosphere in which to get away from the hoi polloi whilst at The Bullring.

The atmosphere inside is lovely and quiet if you want to come in and get some work done with your laptop. There are booths and chairs as you would expect in a place like this, but there are also very comfortable sofas and armchairs that you can sit and relax on. Definitely a place I plan on coming back to often whenever I need a place to chill out or get some work done while in town.

There are plenty of chairs/tables, good wifi and even charging points for you phone. I had my standard Americano with skimmed milk, then a berry smoothie. Both tasted spot on and were both really big drinks. With the betty smoothie I only ordered the small and it came in a pint glass.....perfect! This is going into my favorite working spots in Brum! Its the ideal place to get your laptop out while drinking an oversized coffee, or just generally a good spot to chill with mates of you are down that end of New Street.

I have a major sweet tooth, and whilst I can't eat their delicious cakes I can buy them for other people. So whilst I'm buying Danishes and tarts for the other half, I'm buying myself the freshly made monster meringues. Worth treating yourself to some freshly baked classics and great bread as opposed to a cupcake every now and again. It's always nice to find a good local supplier that means you can bypass the supermarket and grab something freshly and locally made with good quality ingredients. They are superbly located for the commuters from Snow Hill Station, you just need to remember its there on the corner of Great Western Arcade.

You can also buy their items for home use. I bought a whole bread loaf!! Although you pay a little more, the better tastier food, an alternative to the big supermarkets, and you know that your supporting a local grocer's using local sourced ingredients, its a win win all round. It gets extremely busy at lunchtimes - to be expected because of its quality reputation. The food is really good, well cooked and a fair price. The staff are incredibly happy and chatty and cant do enough to help. Oh and proper MUGS of tea. Win. They also do free delivery within 3 miles for orders of £8 which im guessing is quite popular with the local offices as im always seeing the Molly's vans round and about. Ive knocked one star off (i wish i could just take off half a star...) because their website is really quite rubbish. I wanted to link to it to show you the menu (as i was too busy scoffing my food and reading the paper to take loads of photos for you) but there are no menus, no photos nothing. This is probably the nicer Muffin Break in the city for the design and range, having a much better range than the store in the Bullring center. For the first time visiting Muffin Break, I noticed a "savory" gluten free muffin, as well as a "sweet" one and they seem to have a good selection of them, unlike the Bullring which seemed to only have stocked one, which is uncommon for a Muffin Break store. The staff didn't seem too friendly, and spoke very broken-down English, they didn't stand out to much out of going out of their way to be friendly and make a good customer experience, they didn't seem to like me asking questions either such as if their stock sells out throughout the day, as I planned to get one in a few hours for my train journey home back from Birmingham to Manchester. I also liked how the muffins were available to view and not tucked up far away, making them hard to read or see, this branch seemed much more welcoming than most other Muffin Break stores I have visited. There was only one member of staff in there and I didn't see anything I could buy for lunch so I went for a fruity bubble tea. I chose pineapple then asked if he could make a layered drink, which he said he could mix more flavours in but they wouldn't be layered in colours like my wish of a rainbow! Ha ha so I said it was fine, just do what you can. He also said I could choose up to three different bubbles or jelly so I chose three! You can get 10% off with a student card and as I said they have a loyalty card. The drink was nice, refreshing and the bubbles and jelly were nice as I don't normally like popping bubbles but these were good. I prefer the chewy tapioca balls but they can be filling so this way it wasn't so bad! I usually buy bubble tea from meecha in the bull ring but I will buy from twist cafe again if I'm this side of town! I must try the frozen yoghurts next time!!

I took my friend to try their first fruit bubble tea slush (I'm sure its got a proper name but that's what it is) It's Jasmine Green Tea flavoured with a flavour of your choice (I chose blueberry) and in the bottom of it is three flavours of bubble drops. (I chose blueberry, mango & peach) It's grown up but childish at the same time and it's not cheap at £4 for the slush or £3 for a regular bubble tea. A great treat however.

Never fear, a quick search and we discovered the Hylton Cafe right around the corner. Immediately loved the chilled out and friendly atmosphere - I ordered the double decker sarnie (packed full of bacon, sausage, egg and tomato) and my other half had the Emerald breakfast (I like the touch of the breakfast dishes all being named after jewels!), both washed down with an excellent cup of coffee. Next time we're in need of a 'proper cafe' breakfast, this will no doubt be where we head.
