I thought the classes were pricey for the area at $16 a class, but they do offer pay what you can community classes. According to their website they designed their studio environmentally green including using only "non-petroleum soy candles". Music is played during class which is nice. The studio has high ceilings and tall windows, but really only comfortably fits about 15 people practicing at once, but they can squeeze in 45 or so with mats 3 inches apart from each other. They have a store in the front with lots of books, dvds, and clothing. With a name like Blue Lotus I was expecting to see a blue wall somewhere or a lotus candle, something that plays on their name in the decor, but I think they were going for a white space with minimal decor. The students that come here are all very friendly and chat with each other.

And now my muscles are making sure I'm acutely aware of those poses. Carrington wasn't afraid to adjust pretty much everyone in her class, and I have to admit her adjustments were just about perfect. Not pretentious, but still clean, spacious, and inviting. Definitely check out Blue Lotus, and I highly recommend Carrington's class, especially if you have a decent practice or just want your butt kicked. Your muscles may hate you the next couple of days, but you'll be proud of yourself after that :)
