My benchmark dish is Chicken Dansak and they do a good job of it here. Also recommend the Chicken Shashlick, Peshwari Naan & Prawn Puree.

If you have ever tried "dosa" they are kinda crepe but made of rice and have various fillings - a must. The mango lassi (mango buttermilk) is worth trying too!!! I still like the mango lassi at Tayyeb (whitechapel). They serve alcohol and they are usually packed on sundays.

The special masala dosa is great - huge and comes served with 3 lovely sauces. The saag aloo is also very good (quite spicy too!). This is definitely a curry I'll keep returning for.

However, I was buoyed by the fact that I didn't really like the starter given the Peyton Law of Indian restaurants which is that the better the starter the worse the main course. In this case, the main courses were brilliant. Both were unctuous, intense fully flavoured concoctions. The pork in the vindaloo was melt in the mouth tender and both sweet and sour from the tamarind. Service was faultless. I used to live in Putney (sniff) twenty years ago and enjoyed Ma Goa then, so it has well deserved legs. Enjoy.
