Thought I'd stop in and give this new restaurant a try. Was greeted by friendly staff. The…read morerestaurant is up-scale with nice tables, flatware, and atmosphere. I ordered samosas as an appetizer and curried goat for my main (comes with rice), and a side of garlic naan. The samosas were quite nice with traditional spices and a tamarind and mint chutney for dipping. The goat curry was also quite good with a good portion of meat. The naan bread was also quite good and a good accompaniment to the curry. All in all, quite a nice dining experience. I would recommend.

My wife and kids brought me here for my birthday and I was so thankful they did... A fairly modest venue in size but beautiful decor and very warm and welcoming atmosphere Right down to the gold coloured cutlery and the folding of the napkins... Small details that really bring everything together... The food was absolutely delicious with my family starting on the appetizer sampler which was a great start to the meal and some of the best fish I've ever had in my entire life! my wife and kids ordered the butter chicken which has a fun name on the menu and I went with the chicken tikka masala which was filled with juicy, delicious chicken and a beautiful ruby coloured full flavoured gravy which I sopped up with a side of garlic naan bread, poppadoms and a beautifully scented basmati rice as a side that I washed down with a cold Heineken for myself and the kids getting mango lassi's... We would've loved to try dessert but we were so full we could barely move... Such a great meal and a great finish to the day! We will definitely be back and thank you so much to the chefs and weight staff at Buddha! Zeke

So we made 1 hour drive from Waterloo, just to taste the food here on our anniversary and we absolutely loved it! Every item we had was fresh, scrumptious and finger licking good! The service and ambiance was great as well, we'll definitely be back for more!

What luck when my daughter suggested it! ;-) thanks Honey!! Inside is nice and warm, with a few booths and several tables, and an Indian decor. Staff was welcoming, and took the time to explain a few dishes, which we really appreciated. Perusing the menu, I found several items that appealed to me, and ended up ordering vegetarian samosas, Seekh Kebab (a lamb dish they came with rice), naan bread, and a mango lasee. Hubby got a vegetarian dish today hat had a mildly sweet sauce, and DD ordered a shrimp dish that comes covered in a coconut sauce. This was delicious! For the record, I would go back! Next time I would like to order one of the dinner specials, ie: dinner for 2, 3, or 4. And by the way, I was too full for desert! I wanted Gulab Jaman... but never got the chance to even ask about it! Ahh well, something left for next visit.

Small dining area…read more The booths seats look worn down with black duct tape and could definitely use some reupholstery. The women's bathroom floor is quite slippery, easy to take a spill. Paper towel dispenser is not working either. Ordered two lentil soup (medium and spicy), Chana masala, butter chicken, veggie korma and Dharka Tal, all medium and a garlic chicken. $72.54 They charged us for Kirkland brand Alkaline water. The lentil soup is spicy, even for medium. It's tasty. I like the cilantro. Butter chicken, Chana masala and the Dharka Tal were good. The veggie korma was okay, some green beans that didn't work for this dish for me. The man behind the counter asked my husband if everything was okay after we got our soup. He asked my husband again how everything is after we got all of our main entrees. I forget that my opinion doesn't tend to matter at Indian restaurants at all. This is the second time in a month at an Indian restaurant that staff only asked my husband. The younger staffer asked us both how the spice level was and if we wanted any dessert. He looked us both in the eye too. He took our order and brought out our food to us. It's a shame that the more mature guy has no clue that I am the one that tends to pay the dinner bills out.

Not a great experience for our first time at this restaurant. Went during Labor Day weekend when…read moreit was fairly empty. We ordered dinner portions of Pink Garlic Chicken along with Aloo Gobi. Pink Garlic Chicken - While the chicken tasted alright, more on the sweet side, it was served on an appetizer size plate, same size they use to serve their 2 samosa appetizer. We clarified with the waiter if the plate we received was the appetizer portion, which is also on the menu. He clarified it was the dinner portion he put in for our order. We finished it in less than three bites. Quite an expensive dish for $13.99 based on what you receive. Aloo gobi - we ordered the dinner portion and it was also initially served in a small appetizer size bowl with 90% potato and literally one spoonful of cauliflower. Our server was kind enough to take it back to the kitchen and it came back out in a larger serving dish with a normal amount to cauliflower. The taste of this dish was also ok, also on the sweeter side. We left hungry and ended up at another nearby restaurant to complete our dinner for the evening. I recommend asking what size portion you're receiving before finalizing your order to make sure you get enough food especially for the prices they charge.
