This hotel is perhaps one of the best hotels I have stayed in for business travel. It has all the features of a top tier hotel within government per-diem rate. The location is also ideal as it's within walking distance to the Mississippi River, the Figge art museum, which had free admission during July, great restaurants, and bars. The only two things I was not happy with is parking and homeless persons. They do not have enough parking for everyone so it's first come first serve. There is a public garage about a block down the street. Second issue is there seems to be a lot of homeless in the area when the shelters are not open. Lastly if you choose to walk along the Mississippi River watch out for dive bombing sparrows (seriously) ask the desk about them. While staying here recommend visiting Mac's bar for the wings (best wings I have had in a long time) , within walking distance and the Figge art museum. read more

I have a bucket list of hotels with in a 3 hour drive and this was one of them that I finally made it to. This is a AAA 4 diamond hotel to my surprise and it's around a zoo and museums/attractions so it's worth the drive and let's not forget the world's largest truck stop with antique massive truck museum. The hotel is very classy with an art theme throughout and in every room. The lobby very modern with nice bar that has stone accents and modern furniture with art pieces seamlessly blended in. My room was very nice with stone floors and stone bathroom with a tv in the mirror. The bed was plush and comfortable with no bed bugs. The tv was a Samsung flat screen, usually hotels have off brand TVs . My room had a curio cabinet with a safe, fridge, mirror, closet and all the Coffey/drink stuff. The ice machine room has a pet wash station which was cool. It's located downtown and I was surprised with how many bars, restaurants, coffee shops etc was close by. I really enjoyed my holiday weekend stay and sometimes you just have to treat yourself because time is short. read more

I stayed here for a week and I have to say this is one of the best Marriott properties I've been to. Not just because I had the penthouse suite but because it's well taken care of and the amenities are on point. We had access to the ambassadors lounge where they have free beer, wine and some spirits. Who doesn't like FREE dranks lol on the other note there was free snacks and fruits and a daily appetizer in that room as well. Parking was across the street and was free and included. The breakfast burrito is delicious and I highly recommend if you decide to eat breakfast there. I highly recommend this property! read more

Stayed here for a one-nighter recently and all in all it was an enjoyable stay. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the downtown Davenport area. Walkable to several restaurants, bars, breweries, and the glass bridge. Parking is $12/night with in & out access using same room key card. Only downside is it's not covered, so your vehicle will have to endure the elements. Rooms are well done. Clean and no short cuts appeared to be taken for taking an old building to make new. Bath had a nice tub and separate walk in shower. Water pressure could be better. Bidet is a nice to have. Built in tv into the bathroom mirror but we didn't take advantage. Rooms were equipped with blackout blinds, so we slept well. Had a chance to check out the indoor pool and jacuzzi. Being indoor it traps the chlorine smell so you'll be reminded the day after that you did visit the pool. The pool ceiling was probably the only place I could tell they didn't pay attention during renovations as it seems there's several area that have been cut and repatched. Aside from that I think they did a nice job overhauling the building to make for a comfortable hotel experience. Lobby and bar is very welcoming and staff at front desk were very nice. The only thing I can complain about is our main TV didn't have any cable or smart features to be able hook online apps. So bring your own roku, firestick, etc. That's all I got on this one. This is a unique design- and the whimsical art throughout the property is amazing! Each room is unique and well appointed. There is a book in the room talking about the various artists who are local or Midwest based. The rooms are huge- and if you get a room by the elevator- don't stress. I'm a high maintenance traveler who was mildly perturbed by my room location. Not once did I hear people or that annoying ding. There is a noise machine to use at night as a train occasionally comes by. Being from dubuque- we are used to it. Food is phenomenal and reasonable. But the service throughout the hotel is A+! Shout out to Rikki the server and Douglas the chef who helped her run food as we had a party of 12! Rikki was alone at the Sky Bar and he jumped in. The French toast. Forget the calories and carbs.. just eat it. I can't complain about a single thing... and I usually can. My 2 nights here were great. Thank you so much! read more

Their billing is very questionable. I saw other people were told a rate only to be charged more. I was given a rate, confirmed it at check in, only to be charged a higher rate at checkout. Of course the front desk person wS different at checkout. They said I was told wrong by the other person. Traveler beware of this hotel with very shady management. read more

Overpriced, several things promised as amenities on their website are not available. Staff was unaware, aloof and seemed unable and unwilling to answer any questions. Beware: there is little to no parking, and you are in a very busy downtown area with the nearest parking garage 1 block away. If you are early and one of the lucky ones, there is a very small lot provided across the street for an additional $20!! Price gouging at its finest, but we paid it because we are seniors and did not want to walk an entire city block and back to our car. Neighborhood is not the best and had several homeless people roaming. There was supposed to be an on site restaurant and was not, the downstairs lounge was closed. Our room was not comfortable, choppy, strangely lit and the bathroom mirror seemed to be broken. View was two giant picture windows facing their disgustingly filthy inner rooftop and pigeon community. Their website would have you believe they have a rooftop bar, but is actually run independently. We actually picked this hotel because of the rooftop bar, only to find out if we wanted to go we needed to pay a $20 cover and dress semi-formal for a 'private event' party where grown-ups play dress up and pretend they are wealthy people living in the Hamptons. NO COFFEE available anywhere in the morning, not even a muffin offered. If you are looking for a spot to crash while you're downtown partying, I guess this works for that. If you are looking for comfort and amenities, go somewhere else. I gave two stars instead of one because I have actually stayed somewhere worse once in Arkansas. read more

Rooms are great. Stylish hotel property with big rooms, quirky decor, fun features, including a roof deck bar/restaurant with great views of downtown Davenport and the river. Fits the Autograph Collection theme for Marriott. But... Food and beverage outlets are a nightmare. Staff is slow, inattentive, and preoccupied with loudly talking to each other and pretty girls from the town. Zero interest in hotel guests. Think college-town level service in a 4 star hotel. Rooftop bar and restaurant could have a great vibe if professionally run. But ruined by bad staff, loud 21 year old girls in printed t-shirts and spandex drinking frozen drinks served out of machines like you would see on Bourbon St in N.O. or Duval in Key West, and their male counterparts wearing tight polos and skinny jeans loudly bragging about sexual exploits and trying to show off their recently acquired (though limited) knowledge of whiskey and tequila. All with an occasional cloud of vape smoke to enhance the experience. Lobby bar and restaurant is not much better. Similar inattentive service with staff who simply disappears and has to be tracked down by front desk. It does avoid the 20-somethings mostly. But cavernous room with neither white noise nor music let's you enjoy hearing every word of an over 50 business traveler trying to pick up any woman who wants to sit at the bar for a quiet dinner. read more

Stayed here when in town during COVID September. Friendly check in (though the staff really liked talking to one another) and COVID procedures were evident. Room was plenty of space and clean, I liked the soap and shampoos. Fun rooftop bar (though with a musician who had no issues sharing his extreme right wing views with us). I booked through a third party so I know I get the less desirable rooms, but I thought my room was fine. There was a very creepy seemingly taxidermy dog with a human-like skeleton face which was disturbing and I wish wasn't there. The parking was super hard due to construction and the entrance moved around while I stayed and that wasn't communicated, but the proximity was nice. Overall I'd stay here again. read more

The Current Iowa, is part of Marriott's Autograph Collection and is a luxury boutique hotel featuring 78 rooms including 30 suites. The hotel sits on the banks of the Mississippi River and is within walking distances to many shops, restaurants, bars, museums, etc. The art inspired hotel rooms offer travelers functionality and comfort with luxurious bedding, free wifi and hdtv I am always excited to see which animal statue I will have in my room and on this trip I had the boxer. It added to the enjoyment of my stay, since I had a boxer who had passed away in 2016. It's those little touches, that makes the Current Iowa a great hotel choice for business or pleasure. The Current Iowa offers two restaurants on site. UP, which is the Quad Cities first rooftop bar/restaurant and lounge that offers commanding views of the Mississippi. VIVA is their Baja/Mexican restaurant located on the ground floor of the hotel. I visited both restaurants during my stay and would highly recommend both restaurants. read more

First time in Davenport/Quad Cities area and I try and stay at Marriott properties as I've been a loyal member for nearly 20 years. This time I found this Autograph hotel and wow was I impressed from the moment I walked in! Very cute entry area and opens to a nice bar area. Old architecture meets modern theme is the beat way to describe it! I got upgraded to a suite (and if you can get a suite). The room is massive with a full kitchen, a bathroom that is luxurious and has a heated toilet seat! That's a game changer people! Very spacious bedroom and literally a washer and dryer in the room! Great views from downtown Davenport. The service has been exceptional and the roof top bar is beautiful! Yes a bit cold this time of year but spring, summer and fall must be amazing off that bar! Definitely a recommendation and pricing was very fair! One thing to note is that parking is not free so plan on $12 parking per day but otherwise it's a great hotel! read more

I'm Platinum with Marriott. I spend 70+ nights/year in hotels (Marriotts), and this is one of the best, if not THE best. Here's why: Super friendly service during the entire trip. From Victor at valet, Whitney at the front desk, and Tony the restaurant manager was phenomenal! I mea The room was amazing. Clean and new. You're gonna love the toilets. I won't tell you why here, but you will love them. The rooftop bar. Just awesome. Comfy, great view and service. Great breakfast and service in the AM. Everyone is so gracious. You give a small tip and they truly appreciate it. Honestly, this is my number one favorite Marriott, regardless of brand level (and I've been to all of them)! UPDATE 1/2020: Came back, and everything was just average. Hotel is looking a little tired. The worst, however, is the useless concierge/club lounge. Dead space, not utilized for frequent travelers. Beautiful hotel. Absolutely loved it EXCEPT it was very noisy. Two night stay with kids above me the whole time. Called the desk but it didn't change anything. I suffer from an aneurysm so I was looking forward to a quiet stay. It's very unfortunate that they didn't have the presence of mind to place guests with children on the lowest floor so they don't disturb their other guests. Very disappointed with that. read more

Getting better...! So , I've stayed at The Current multiple times now. The changes are evident: See my prior reviews. I recently stayed for 11 days including the Labor Day Holiday. -Dining Room /Breakfast service- much better staffed, more attentive, less frenetic! Breakfast hour was bustling given it was a holiday weekend and the rooftop view of the Mississippi is stunning. Staff: Ricki is still terrific! We were glad to see her again. She provided us with some tips on good Local bakeries. A new server, Lyric, was very personable and helpful! Food is just fair. OJ : wasn't... tasted like an orange drink ( Think 1970s Tang Mixed with some Tropicana ). Recommendations: Try including a continental bfast or a provide a nice omelet and waffle buffet. Hours of Sky Bar: Please expand! :) Bfast over at 11 and then the gorgeous roof top is not open to guests until 5pm. There are no places nearby opened before 9 am for bfast. This is the main asset of this hotel - dont close it all day. Maybe don't offer a full menu but have an attendant or bar tender if guests wish to read, do work, watch television or just relax on the roof *Over Labor Day weekend it was closed 1 day "for repairs". I wondered if it was a staffing issue. Anyway, we were disappointed. It's the highlite of The Current Iowa. - No loud club techno music before the evening hours! Again, the morning hours are so beautiful on the roof and it's silly to try to compete with an attempt to create some scene vibe at 9 am. It's not a night club till .. the night. - Fitness Room: Like my last stay, there was no water , just the empty jug for days , but after I requested this from the Front desk (Faye is still there and she's still fantastic and professional )! It was corrected the next day. Fitness Room is depressing, small, basic , but fine to get in some strength and cardio. If, however, there are more than a couple of guests , it feels uncomfortable for some due to covid. Go early before 8 am. Suggestion: Move The Fitness Room out of the basement to another floor to include windows (at the very least and ,ideally, a view of the Mississippi). Note:Iowa is more politically conservative and has looser Covid laws , while , across the river in Illinois (about 5 minutes over the bridge) , covid rules are more strictly enforced. Housekeeping: As it's a trend now in most hotels across the nation due to Covid staffing issues sanitation etc. say goodbye to daily housekeeping at hotels unless requested. Even when requested, The service was uneven. Some days we returned to find a beautifully made bed and everything clearly had been cleaned, fresh towels, trash emptied etc. Other days we returned to a sloppily made bed , or not changed and trash had not been emptied. This is not acceptable , even during these times. The housekeeping was inconsistent. I think this is due to the Current sharing staff with their sister hotel , and long-standing fixture in the Quad cities, The Blackhawk Hotel. Just ask the front desk if you want housekeeping and be specific. Also: They never replenished the Keurig coffee pods nor tea bags in the room. This should be standard service. Bathroom: Very modern and spacious! Shower pressure could be stronger. Soap/Toiletries : Please , please ...add a soap dish to the bathroom counter. All is very pretty , but no place to place a wet bar of soap. The wet soap , if placed on the silver tray , gets all guck y messy. It was not intended for used wet soap and and if you leave it on the marble counter it slips away:A waste. Invest in simple soap dishes or, even just a soap prong if U must use bar soap. Or ...just supply liquid soap? - no bottled water in Rooms. In order to get anything ( snacks, ie just candy bars , soda or water) you have to request at the front desk. As the Current isn't a heavily staffed hotel why not Provide these in the room , for a charge? Parking: There's a $12 daily charge for parking In the lot across the street. As the hotel becomes busy as a night club every night there are no available spots for hotel guests. They need to allocate more spots for hotel guests the only 2 spots sometimes available are handicap spots. Invest in both equally: Your hotel guests and your Rooftop bar guests. Parking for hotel guests should be free of charge. At least ensure that there are enough parking spots. There is a nearby parking garage 2 blocks away , but it's dark and unattended. It doesn't feel safe. Overall , The Current Iowa continues to make significant improvements across many service areas! Happy to see they've have maintained some of their best staff: Faye, Front Desk, Isaac and Ricki. I will definitively stay there again. read more

This is a classic example of a place that thinks of the details without the ability to offer the bare essentials. The rooms are great - spacious, pretty, stocked with nice amenities, and very comfortable. The hotel is very well decorated and the greeting staff is nice. BUT. When coming down for breakfast around 10am, we were told the restaurant was at capacity (?). Only four tables were full. There were multiple open tables that had not been cleaned. We were told we could wait twenty minutes until lunch. The bar was empty, but we were basically turned away (only four of us, mind you). We were on a time crunch because of a wedding, which two people in our group were in. We left the hotel in search of food to no luck- nothing close and fast. Came back to the hotel about forty minutes later, where the restaurant was empty. They were still serving breakfast (?). We waited to order. No one gave us menus. The bar is a disaster - empty coffee cups and juice glasses everywhere. We asked for a pot of coffee, which took 20 minutes. No waters, area in front of us was not cleared. We asked if we could have to food brought to our room so we could start getting ready. Food did arrive thirtyish minutes later and was just awful. Ordered the breakfast sandwich, which is supposed to have asparagus on it as well as a side of hash browns- they were out of both. It was served on white bread, tasted like butter spray, and the "fried" egg's yolk wasn't cooked AT ALL. Then the checks came. Apparently each item had a $4 room service fee even though we ordered from the bar and took our own coffee and cups up? The total for our meal should have been $18, plus tax. Our total was $38? We were not given an itemized receipt, and even asked for one because we were so confused. We were assured that it was "right." We were so annoyed and going to be late for the wedding so we just dropped it. Very frustrating way to start the day. Later asked for a bottle opener to be brought to the room. Never came. Asked the front desk a few hours later - they apparently don't have one...? Won't be back. read more

If you're not a fan of this place, then you REALLY stayed at the wrong place and wrong time!! From the moment that we arrive, everyone was so accommodating. The front desk, the bellboy.....EVERYONE!! As for the room, I got the two bedroom suite and HOLY SHIT (sorry for the vulgar language, but this room had a HUGE WOW FACTOR). Marble everywhere, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, 2 queens and a king bed, TVs in bedded in the bathroom mirrors, heated toilet seats, with a bidet attached to them. Everything was top notch!! Don't forget to visit the rooftop bar!! That was a perfect ending, to a perfect night! read more

The fold out beds are very uncomfortable and the mattresses are flat. The coffee in the lobby is all water for the entire week. Most staff was friendly but didn't seem very helpful. The night girl was very rude and wouldn't help us with anything. We asked her for food suggestions, taxi company( since Uber doesn't run here), we asked for ketchup and she wouldn't get us any from kitchen. And if you want to get fold after 8 or 9 any night of the week, forget it. read more

WOW ! This is a top notch, boutiquie feel. I was in the Executive Suite ( since i'm gold with Marriott) and the room was HUGE. Bedroom, separate bathroom (let me tell you about the bathroom: first there was a tv in the mirror, the shower was amazing with modern seamless glass, the toilet seat was HEATED ! - my personal favorite feature btw.. and other surprises since it was a "smart" toilet - i will let you experience that. washer and dryer nook, living area, kitchen with keurig. Staff was great and friendly, lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance. We tried out the recommended Me & Billy's diagonal from the front of the hotel- less than half a block away. read more

My wife and I booked our wedding block at The Current and we couldn't have been happier! We primarily worked with Christi Stacy, the Sales Manager, to book our wedding blocks and she was really kind and helpful. The hotel's modern decor is amazing and only surpassed by their incredible customer service. Specifically, Whitney Jensen at the front desk. She went above and beyond and all our guests loved her! We had a lot of out of town guests who have stayed in fancy hotels around the world and they all commented how world class this hotel was. The rooms were spacious and great, but the bathrooms were out of this world! My wife and I also stayed at the Current in their Jr. Suite for our wedding night and definitely recommend it. The entire staff worked to ensure we felt like family. The suite was very well decorated. The amenities were over the top perfect and fun. We had enough room to comfortably entertain our friends. Unsafe Hotel. We stayed at The Current and had something unsettling happen and then were very disappointed in the management's response. My partner and I stayed for two nights, and on the second night, we returned from dinner around 10 pm. Just a few minutes after we returned to our room, there was a loud knock on the door. It was strange so I didn't answer the door and called out hello. The person (a man with a rather powerful voice) on the other side of the door called out "Management. We have to fix the locks." This seemed even stranger so I called out that I would verify that with the front desk. We then called the front desk, and they said they absolutely would not do something like that, and they would send someone up to check the floor. It was unnerving to have that happen, especially because we stayed on a floor where access is only through using the key card in the elevator. My partner said she was afraid to go to sleep. As we both said, the person on the other side of the door planned to do something with ill intent. Something quite bad was going to happen if we opened that door. At checkout the next morning, we spoke to the manager, and she apologized, said there was a lot of drinking outside at the street fair over the weekend, and other than that, did we enjoy our stay? When we left, we felt disappointed and somewhat disregarded in how the apology was handled and realized we wished the hotel offered us something in terms of financial credit for being members of Marriott Bonvoy and for remaining customers in the future. Upon returning home, I called the Marriott general customer office and told them what happened and how we were disappointed in the hotel's response. The site manager at The Current called me back that afternoon and said he was calling as a courtesy and did not need to do that and asked for the details of what happened. I told him how the event shook us up, how we were disappointed in the response at check-out, and he said he would not comp us for one night. He repeated that several times during the conversation. He said he can't control everything, that he would have offered us a free breakfast or a bottle of something if he knew, and there were people drinking outside the hotel that night. This troubled me as I said we could have stayed at any hotel, but we chose his, and it happened at The Current on a secure floor. We trusted The Current to provide a safe environment. I then heard in between me asking what they would do to keep us as customers, the following statements interspersed in the conversation. "Did you see the man? Maybe it was a boy." My response was I was too unnerved to go close to the door, and it was a man's voice and that was an insulting thing to say. I also heard when I asked for the room to be comped, "Well, if something happened, yes, we would comp the room." My response was, "Sir, are you saying if we were attacked, you would be giving us something?" He stuttered a bit and then said no, of course not. I have never had this situation happen to me, and I have never had customer service be this dismissive. It's not about money; it's about decency. We will not be staying at the hotel or Marriott's again. Not everything can be controlled - customer service, compassion, and kindness can. read more

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Our flight was extremely delayed when we were going to Cedar Rapids, Iowa so we called the property to let them know that we wouldn't be able to make it there that night we booked it for but we would be there the next day. Whoever the person was at the front desk said that it was okay. We reached Davenport the next day and went to go check in. Upon reaching, the woman at the front desk told us there was no note of the interaction and the room was not available. She asked us to wait in the lobby so she could figure out what to do once she got a hold of her manager. She came over and told us she could find us another room but would not be able to get us the room we booked approximately two months ago. She never came back with options. At this point, we called American Express since we had booked through them, after the rep was on hold forever we were able to get a full refund. I would also like to add after the long wait time they were saying the room is ready but when we went into to check in, they would not get it to us.I had an exam the next day and severely needed to finish studying. I felt like they wouldn't give us a room due to us not being from the area. We already felt uncomfortable being there and this just made it absolutely worse. What I don't get is how the room was available after an Amex rep was on the phone with them? We booked the 2 bedroom suite. Stay away! read more

Absolutely awesome service! We arrived in 2° weather at 1am on Christmas and the check in lady couldn't have been more pleasant. The lobby was clean and there was a hot chocolate bar! The room was beautiful and perfectly clean! Housekeeping staff was SO friendly. (If house keeping staff are friendly and happy..someone is doing something right in management, kudos!) Everything is great about this hotel. The Decour is very unique and representative of the autograph collection through Marriott. Kind of fun to find something so interesting in Davenport Iowa. Beautiful art and very nice room with no service. Bathrooms and modern with two remotes just for inside the restroom (one for tv, one for toilet)! The service is almost nonexistent, the WiFi is spotty and inconsistent in the rooms. The front desk isn't; there is someone there to tell you what isn't working today, that there are no parking spaces but you can park down the street in a pay lot, that they have no valet parking anymore, etc. Great location, fine if you independent and you don't need any assistance for anything. read more

The hotel is beautifully designed and has a few nice extra touches, like a complimentary hot chocolate bar and Christmas cookies. We were looking forward to a hot tub soak but it was closed for maintenance when we stayed. I was also disappointed in the lack of water pressure in the shower and the pillows. It's hard to please all the guests with different preferences in support but a variety of support would be a smart choice. Overall, we got a sweet deal and didn't really expect the "famous" roof bar to be open on Christmas Day but it was a mediocre experience wrapped in a pretty package. read more

Then tried to call direct, bounces to something that says it's the line for the Blackhawk Hotel, consistently with delays exceeding 10 minutes. So give up and try in the morning. 4 calls and two chats later, finally get a human being who says "Yep, cancelled you but charging you for the night anyway." How about that?! He forwards me to his manager, surprise, voice mail. I left what is probably too emotional of a message, but this has been one of the most ridiculous experiences ever. I can not say enough wonderful things about this hotel the decor is fresh and modern,staff is friendly (shout-outs to Stormy,Drew, Victor,Billy Brock and Mary) and attentive and they have two top notch restaurants on site. I stay exclusively at Marriott properties and travel to Iowa frequently. My first time staying at The Current. I loved the hotel and property. Can't wait until summer visit to check out their amazing roof top. The hotel front desk/housekeeping staff ALL EXCELLENT. Very friendly and pleasant. The restaurant pricing is good, but the food was disappointing. Too much salt and a few menu items quality was sub par and didnt eat for fear of getting sick. I stayed here for 4 nights. Walked over to their sister property Black Hawk and had an amazing steak. I would stay at either hotel again. Hope The Current restaurant team hits there stride (hotel opened last summer-so understand hiccups and take a bit to get settled). read more

Super trendy place. Parking was free and right across the street. We had a double queen room. The bathrooms were so cool. Very pretty room. We had a little statue of a dog in our room which was random but I guess there's a different dog in every room. There was a small frig too. Overall it's a very nice place and I'd stay there again. They do ask for a card for incidentals which is 100 dollars so don't break anything like the 150 dollars vase in the entry way. My only complaint was our entry way floors were sticky otherwise it was perfect. read more

Currently in the middle of my visit at this hotel and I am very impressed! Staff is friendly, always makes sure your stay is going well even if you're just passing them in the hall. Fresh fruit water and tea along with snacks have been put out every day, they are refreshing & tasty. Bathrooms are all marble, I was surprised to find a TV in my bathroom mirror! So cool. Comfortable bed and really comfortable pillows. (I'm picky when it comes to pillows & usually use my own at hotels) Haven't tried the sky bar and grille yet but hopefully before we leave we will. The menu looks great. The viva Mexican restaurant we tried for breakfast and it was delicious! read more

Very nice hotel, that I got food poisoning at last time I was in town. The bar at the top of the hotel, drink but don't eat!!! Had an early morning flight that I barely made, you know when you get, and it sucks! read more

Stayed here this past weekend for St Ambrose University Graduation. Everything was perfect. Rooms were clean, looby bar was fun, Up bar offers awesome view of the Mississippi. Staff was attentive, nice, and helpful. Someone in our group lost glasses. Staff called me yesterday indicating glasses were placed at front desk yesterday. This is a great hotel read more

From the valet at curbside to departure, I had a really good experience at the Current. Parking and car pickup is quick although there's a self-parking option close by if you prefer. My standard king room was comfortable although the bed was firmer than my taste, but spacious, clean, well-appointed, modern with good bathroom amenities and coffee. I used the salt water hot tub (fabulous after a day of moving = sore muscles) and the fitness center which is well-appointed and spacious with a cyling machine, recumbent cycler, three treadmills, an elliptical, a stair climber, free weights, a universal, a leg worker and kettle bells. All you need for a good workout. The Viva restaurant was a bit disappointing for dinner, deserted with the servers doubling on guest room service and thus not 100% available. For food, better to use the rooftop Up lounge. That's the only negative, otherwise it was a great visit, will return. read more
