Another great stay at this boutique hotel. We love the history and repurposed aspect of the building. It is just a short walk from the Vibrant arena so we stay here when in Moline for Concerts. The lobby does feel cold and sterile but we don't spend time there, so no big deal!. I used the Marriott Bonvoy app to locate this gem of a hotel as we were driving cross country and looking for a late night check in. What a great property! The building was originally constructed as warehouse in 1917. The renovated modern industrial themed hotel opened in 2018. I just love what they've done with the space--it's just so different from most other chain hotels. Our double queen room was SO spacious and I loved the interplay between the modern fixtures and the industrial structure that has been incorporated into the design. The room was clean, and the beds were quite comfortable. It's too bad that we were only in town for a very brief overnight stay--this would be a great hotel to enjoy for a couple of days. The only shade I could throw on this place (and I know this is just a subjective pet peeve) is that instead of individual toiletry products in the shower theres a wall-mounted shampoo/conditioner dispenser. Whenever I see those dispensers it just throws off a communal gym or rec center shower vibe that I just done wanna have, especially in an otherwise nice hotel. One of the reviews of this place gives it just a single star and mentions train noise. Well, I'm sure train schedules vary, but neither I nor my family heard any trains during our overnight stay--we all slept just fine. read more

I stayed here just for 1 night while on a business trip. The hotel was easy to find and there was plenty of parking across the street. The location is great as there are plenty of places to walk to for food and drinks. It is also attached to Pour Bros which is an awesome pour your own beer style place that also has mixed drinks and cocktails as well. My check-in was fast and easy. The receptionist was friendly and I was even able to check in a little early which was great. The decor is industrial and hip and I loved it. My room was large, although when I walked into the room I was greeted by a very large cement pillar. But, that is part of the unique charm of this building. There was a very large bathroom with nice quality soaps and soft towels. The kitchennete was well stocked and plenty spacious. The bed was soft and comfortable. My room faced some railroad tracks but the only time that I heard a train was at 9am and it didn't last long. I rarely heard any other guests during my stay so that was nice. They do also allow dogs and there was a person checking in before me and he was given a cute doggie bag for his pup! The only downfall of the stay was the breakfast. There were several options including a yogurt bar with all kinds of toppings. There was a lady that I believe was making omlettes but it wasn't quite clear how to order one and she was walking around chatting with another employee so I wasn't for sure if the omlette station was open. I opted for the other hot foods which were sausage patties, egg bites and diced potatoes. Breakfast had already started about 2 hours before I came down and I could tell that the food had been sitting there for at least that long. The egg bits were okay with some hot sauce on top. The diced potatoes had good seasoning but were rubbery and the sausage patties were so hard that I couldn't even cut one let alone chew it well. It was all very dry as well. I very rarely leave poor feedback but this one of the most disappointing hotel breakfasts that I have had in a while. As nice as this place was, I was anticipating something better. Hopefully this was just a one-off incident. Besides the breakfast, this hotel is really great and I'm already planning on coming back with my boyfriend and a night or two as we like craft beer and breweries and there were several near this hotel. read more

After you stay at the Element, every other hotel stay will only feel sub-par. The industrial design with bright colored accents and the included weekday happy hours make you feel as though you're staying somewhere luxurious, but the friendly staff and Chef T's delicious, fresh breakfasts in the mornings make you feel at home. Not to mention, our dog was always treated well, and this is the only hotel we've encountered where pets stay free! I was a guest at your hotel from 6/16/2020-6/22/2020 for my House Hunting Trip to the Quad Cities, IA IL. During the duration of my stay with my family Dassah and Daniel were amazing employees. Both of them were helpful, extended so many courtesies, and was accommodating. They embodied everything that I look forward to have at a Marriott Franchise and being a Bonvoy member. The other employees at the front desk were helpful polite and welcoming. The team did a wonderful job making me and from what I observed everyone feel at home. But I want to personally thank them for all the kindness they both extended to me and my family due to the horrid experience that we encountered. For the entire stay my room was never serviced by house keeping. I had my trained service animal traveling with me. After two days of non-service I inquired about it to the Front Desk personnel. I was then informed of the policy of non service while the service animal is there. The next day I booked a stay for my service animal at a bark and stay resort for dogs in order to mitigate the issue. Upon leaving the room at 8:30 am I spoke directly to the Head of Housekeeping and informed her of our departure and that we will be all day. We returned home at 7:00 pm and the room was not serviced. I spoke to a young woman at the desk and she offered to clean the room herself, and extra towels, and left notes on our room. The next following 4 days were the same thing; the service animal was out of the room and no service done by housekeeping. Daniel sent housekeeping to the room on the final night and she offered to clean but the service animal is off duty and was tired from working all day., She then retorted "I can give you sheets and you can change the bed and straighten up the room yourself." Never have I been suggested to clean my hotel room from housekeeping at any another hotel franchise. As a courtesy for the inconvenience Daniel offered me 2,000 Bonvoy points on top of the 8,000+ I would receive for the stay.Totaling 10,000+. This morning I checked my account and I haven't received them.( not happy!) My account total should be upwards of 20,000. I was due to spend 53 nights at that hotel this coming August 2020, but I am unsure if we want to spend a large sum of money and time at an establishment that we feel uncomfortable with its treatment of its guests. As a out of town traveler, law enforcement officer, and there on relocation business it left me feeling skeptical, persecuted, and unappreciated. I love Marriott, and hope the standards stay above all the rest. I sincerely hope and this incident was an anomaly and not a constant because I would have to patronage elsewhere. read more

A good experience starts with check in. I planned to be in town on business so was going to be there a week. I check in on a Sunday afternoon where the woman at the front desk acknowledged me by saying "just a minute." That was followed by a distasteful grunt towards something or someone. It then was followed with, "name?" I was given my key and honestly don't remember if she even told me what room. Usually I'm greeted at other Marriott properties with "thank you for being a Platinum Member" which I don't e"need but sure would have been welcomed over what I walked into when I stepped in. My room had stains all over the carpet and food crumbs under the chair/ottoman. The bathroom had spots that clearly hadn't been cleaned well. I'll attach pictures. They could improve significantly when it comes to the cleanliness. The noise! A few nights I had to call down to the front desk because if noise above me. I could hear everything. I was also put on the second floor even though I've always had a preference for a high floor on my Bonvoy account. They don't look and they don't care. I also believe I was right above a bar on the main level and the noise was horrendous. Other complained about the train, which, I luckily didn't hear much but I'd take the train over everything I heard. Most people were friendly (minus the front desk attendant when I checked in) and usually enjoy staying here but there's some opportunity to step it up. read more

An amazing hotel with an awesome staff! I visit this area a lot for business and Element never fails me! Honestly can't say a negative thing about this hotel! In the perfect area and close to it all. Walking distance for all the restaurants, bars, and Tax Slayer Center! The hotel has free bikes to use on the Mississippi River trail or just to get around town, a nightly social with free wine and beer, and free parking! For anyone that want to complain about the train. Either use the ear plugs or take a deep breath. The hotel is in middle of a city, there will be noise. Modern Elegance in Moline While I was in the Quad cities area on business last year, I came across this new hotel on the Marriott (now BonVoy) app on my phone. I have stayed across the river in a few of the hotels in Davenport and Bettendorf and was looking for something new. The app showed me relatively new hotel called the "Element" in Moline. I looked at the photos and some of the early reviews which were great, and decided to give this hotel a shot. From the moment I walked in to the front lobby area until I left I have to say this was a great experience. I stayed in a king room which was very roomy, and although an older building now modernized, it had a very loft like and trendy feel to it. The room was very well arranged, the decor was very new and sophisticated. Everything in the room flowed perfectly. The desk area was a great space to get work done, the kitchen had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable and the washroom was spacious and very well designed. Wifi is great in this hotel I had no issues and found to be very fast. Parking is free and across the street with in and out privileges but close enough to the hotel that it is not an issue. The gym had very new and modern equipment so I was able to get in a great workout. Breakfast was amazing and the amenities by the front desk had a great selection that would appeal to those who want to eat healthy and those who prefer more traditional snacks. It is a very nice hotel. The rooms are pretty massive. The kitchen area is large. The bedroom area is huge. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The bathroom is well lit. Nothing can prepare you for the toilet. You may think you are ready for it, you even brace yourself for it. You first heard it when your significant other used it, and you thought "that was loud". Then you use it and forget... the first time, then your eardrums explode. Then you use it after a night of drinking in Pour Brothers (in the lobby) and you flush, and suddenly you are completely sober, because the noise knocks you out of your stupor. When you wake up and use it, you remembered to prepare, but still, it is the loudest toilet flush you've ever heard. read more

Nice hotel less than a hundred meters from the TaxSlayer Center. Staff is very friendly and seems to do what they can to accommodate their guests. It's a converted warehouse that has transferred between a few hands like Pioneer Transfer & Storage and Sears, Roebuck & Co. The hotel itself has kept that industrial warehouse feel with the pillars, floors, and bricks you can see in the establishment. It has a hipster vibe attached to it with the outlets that have USB plugs, televisions with streaming service options for you to sign into, and breakfasts that serve almond milk and mini crustless quiches. The hotel has one set of washers and dryers located on the 5th floor, which doesn't ever seem fully occupied so it wasn't difficult finding time to do laundry there if you're on an extended stay (Hint: Easy access from stairwell doors versus running around the halls from the elevator to get to this location). Rooms are stocked with dishware/cookware. There's a kitchenette in the studio rooms with an electric stove, sink, and full sized refrigerator. Soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower are liquid economical containers versus individual bars and tubes. There's no tubs, but that's okay for me since the showers were plenty large enough for several people to fit into. What I enjoyed most were the breakfasts that included a yogurt bar, cooked to order eggs (and daily specialty items like Nutella French toast) and buffet style sausage patties and scrambled eggs. There's an evening reception on Mondays-Thursday that offer complimentary beer and wine from a tap as well as cheese and bread. Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel. Only grip I would have is that it is directly adjacent to the train station in Moline. It wasn't out of the norm to be woken up in the middle of the night by a running train. The housekeeping staff here is also on a rotational cleaning schedule for long-term stays, that is they do deep cleans on specific days and light services (IE emptying trash and making your bed) on other days. I noticed at check-in, that they may have not completely cleaned my room appropriately as I found bits and pieces of vegetables in my sink when I first got into the room. Not a big deal, I rinsed and cleaned the sink out myself. Otherwise, a great hotel, in a fair location near plenty of bars and eats, bridge over to Iowa and Rock Island Arsenal access. read more

Wow. This hotel impressed right off the bat when I walked in the front doors to a sprawling open concept lobby/breakfast/lounge area. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. I had a packaged delivered during my stay and they held onto it for me until I arrived back in the evening. This hotel is so cool. It's in an old warehouse and the rooms feel like unique, modern lofts with high ceilings and exposed brick/ventilation. Plenty of cool bars, restaurants and microbreweries are a short walk away, plus an arena and convention center. Or if you want to drive across the river to Davenport, it's a short and easy drive. Life in the big city in the heart of the Quad Cities! I didn't get a chance to use the gym but I've never seen a hotel gym this massive. Full set of free weights and several treadmills and ellipticals. Did I mention the lap pool? I want to come back to this hotel if for nothing else than to use this gym! The breakfast was, no exaggeration, the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Free breakfast is free breakfast, but this one was next level. They of course have the standards, but it's their unique daily fresh offerings that really blew my socks off. One day I enjoyed a southwestern torta. Another day it was Nutella pancakes. And the chef is right there ready to take your order and offer one of several daily offerings! Another nice touch was the yogurt bar. If you love breakfast, that alone should sell you on this hotel. I didn't get to partake, but they also offer nightly happy hours with free adult beverages and a chance to socialize. The open concept lobby/lounge really gave off a hostel vibe, which I love. Very much a community feel making it easy to meet other folks as you travel. Parking was free for guests in the lot across the street and there was plenty of it. Even with an active freight train track right next door, you can't tell when you're inside the hotel. I slept like a log in the massive, cushy king bed. The bathroom was bright and modern, and the shower was hot and the pressure was great and made for a relaxing end of the day after being out in the cold Midwest weather in February. The filtered water faucet next to the sink was a game changer as I hate buying bottled water and love filling my reusable bottle. While I never took full advantage of the kitchenette including a stovetop, full sized fridge/freezer, microwave and dishes, if you're on a tight budget and need to eat in, this is an awesome perk. Also, this might sound silly, but I loved the smart tv. I logged into my Netflix and YouTube accounts and that made me feel right at home. I realize this all may sound hyperbolic, but this really does feel like it's the future of hotels. It offers so many amenities I didn't even realize I wanted that I've not seen at other hotels in this price range. This is a beautiful hotel. First the basics Check in was quick and simple. Parking conveniently located right across the street. The hotels location is close to a lot of places you'll want to check out. Most within walking distance. If you are staying for more than a night and have several pieces of luggage, they only have one luggage cart for the entire hotel. So, you may be making numerous trips to bring everything in/out. And, watch out for the rugs inside the entrance and in front of the elevators. Trip hazard - big time. Yes, I tripped on both and I'm not usually a clutz. The inside of this hotel is spectacular. I loved everything about the decor. The lighting, brick, art, furnishings - simply beautiful. Our room was great. Beautiful decor. Everything we needed during our stay. Loved having the kitchen with the fridge. You'll notice a significant temperature difference from your room to the hallways. We stayed on some pretty hot days and it was warm in the hallways but it's not like we were hanging out there. The complimentary breakfast they serve is delicious. I loved the yogurt bar. We wish they would have had a bar onsite because the lounge areas are so inviting you just want to hang out there. The entire staff was friendly. The rooms are extremely clean and roomy. The staff very friendly and helpful. The only reason I give it 2 stars is the fact that the hotel sits right next to a railroad. It is so close, it feels that the property sits ON the railroad. A train literally travels by 3 times between Midnight and 6:00 am, and is very, very noisy. Because of this, there is no way to sleep through the night. Disappointing too, it's a cool hotel. I won't be back, will have to go somewhere quieter. read more

I would go out of my way to stay here again. I stumbled upon it on our drive back from MN to NY, and it was the best place we stayed at for the money. The layout of the room was well thought out, it was well appointed, and technologically up to snuff. The kitchen had everything you could need for an extended stay, the black out curtains did their job, and the room was divided in a way that made it easy for one person to go to sleep (in the super comfy bed), while another stayed up and watched TV. The breakfast buffet was excellent! And, we watched a John Deere Tractor parade outside our window Saturday morning! Only one negative if you are a light sleeper...it's close to the train tracks, and the freight trains travel on through the night. read more

I am a business traveler. I stay in higher end hotels. This was a very big disappointment. My room was like a sterile hospital room. I could not regulate my fan on the thermostat, there was no fan. NO tub room in the hotel. I do like the industrial vibe- but this was clearly a room that was not done. My only small window faced a open hallway window so passerby could see in my room. It was a cold white box for a King Suite.. You would think that with the over 200$ a night room would have more. Please know- no restaurant , no bar. I will say the staff was very kind, the place was clean and there was a well presented wine, beer, bread and olive bar free to guests for Happy Hour. Great renovated building idea, I think I was placed in their worst room. I would think other rooms would have to be nicer. read more

Really really nice hotel, it has a unique industrial feel with the exposed pipes and beams. Really nice touch! The staff were super friendly. Parking is across the street from the hotel but it's gated. The breakfast was amazing. They have a chef cooking the food in front of you, also have a good selection of yogurt at their yogurt bar. The hotel is about a month old. The room I was in had a kitchenette with everything you need to cook a meal. The bed was super comfortable, electric blackout shades. Let me just tell you first that I have stayed at 8 or more hotels in the QC area and Element by far takes the cake. You won't find another hotel with this kind of atmosphere and history. The staff are truly the most hospitable I've found. And the beds? Spectacular. This hotel is super eco friendly with its low flow faucets and energy efficient lighting. You want to stay somewhere that gives back? Stay here. And my favorite part? The breakfast is to die for, not just your average continental breakfast. OH! and I almost forgot, the social every evening from 5:00-6:30 is a great way to mingle with people from all over the world and interact with so many diverse backgrounds. OMG stay at this hotel if you are anywhere in the area! The vibe is low key, eco friendly, old industrial architecture integrated with new simplicity. The included breakfast is amazing! Fresh fruit, hot items, homemade pastries, a French toast chef and more! Everyone is friendly, helpful and professional. 24 hour business area helpful to get some work done while on vacay. The rooms are amazing including decor , beautiful spa bathrooms, comfortable bed. Element opened in January of this year in a redesigned old warehouse. Kudos to the architect who integrated old with new. Next to railroad station, some noise when trains occasionally come through, but slept right through sound. An old downtown warehouse was turned into a very nice hotel. I thought it was nearly vacant because it was so quiet, but the excellent free breakfast proved me wrong as that space was packed. Ebony checked us in and made sure that my daughter's room was near ours. Trina made us an incredible breakfast and she and Maria and Christen spent time chatting with us in the morning.
