The drinks are average prices for the north, but who goes here for the drinks? It's all about the food. There is a wide range of food available but the main attraction is the Carvery. Plentiful meat and Yorkshire puddings greet you at the counter, and a variety of vegetables at the other end. The only negative aspect of the food is that it can be dry due to the warming lamps above the food. The staff are generally attentive, especially Scott and John the cooks, but waiting staff can be a little distant - we met our supposed server Mel as we were leaving. Great place, great food, great chain of restaurants.

The place isn't sparkling clean but that only adds to the homely feel of the place, with band stickers and alcohol logos everywhere. It's not obvious to newcomers that there is also a bar downstairs, where the stage is for local acts and the toilets. Avoid the toilets if you can, as you can smell them from 10m+ away (my friend Loz was so disgusted by the smell that he got a can of air freshener from the bar, and he was stood in the crowd at the opposite side of the room!) Back upstairs, there is a dj booth and pool table. Vintage is the only place (probably) where you'll find Pink Floyd graffiti in the womens' toilet! A really nice place to hang out when I (rarely) have a spare night in Doncaster.
