I even had someone from Louisiana tell me the crab cakes were the best they ever had - now that's saying a lot! Since I have never left a review for them, I do need to mention the party before last because Arlette (owner) went over and above. It was a 60th wedding anniversary party for around 100 guest for my in-laws. They have traveled the world as they were US Air Force. Arlette, came up with dishes that brought to mind every place they were ever stationed. People were talking about the food for months after. They are on the pricier side but in my personal opinion - worth every penny! It would never cross my mind to use anyone else.

The menu was well thought out, catered to our tastes and allergies and DELIVERED!! Took my birthday celebration to a different level!! Everything was EXCELLENT...from chicken wings (meat falls off the bone) to grits to scallops to tender, very tender filet mignon.... Just stellar!! They even provided some local history! Left the kitchen cleaner than they found it too. They even swept!! It was a momentous experience!! If you want to elevate an occasion - pick Chef Roland!! Thanks again Chef Roland..you are truly doing what you are meant to do!!

Chef Ty Kotz - Farm to table is my passion. Sourcing the best local ingredients means great food.

I planned a getaway for my parents 30th wedding anniversary where we were on a boat. Chef ty went over and above to accommodate! He was able to be flexible with the space he was working in as well as the menu still getting all fresh and local food. It was a surprise for my parent as well so he was amazing at helping with all of the details! I can honestly say everyone loved and finished their plates on every single dish. Things just kept getting better and better!! Once my parents arrived, We started the evening off with a fresh made whipped ricotta cheese Crostini there he had made earlier that day!! it was unbelievable! We had three toppings that we could put on top including Olive Tapenade, Sun Dried Tomato Jam, and Local Honey from a bee farm right in Charleston!! We absolutely LOVED this starter and had plenty of leftovers that I was eating it all the next day on the boat as well. The second course started with a shaved Kale salad that was our family friends favorite part of the meal!! It was a shaved kale salad with lemon, dried blueberries, pecorino cheese and pine nuts. sounds so simple, but it was one of those things that was just so memorable and delicious!! The next dish was a roasted beet and tartar salad that was out of this world. my parents are huge beet lovers, but I personally am not and believe me when I say I cleaned my plate on this one! It was cubes of roasted beet, goat gouda (which was amazing), fine herbs, lemon, and cubes of jicama. This was such a pleasant surprise and such a different type of beet salad that everything loved. The fourth dish of the evening was vermillion snapper ceviche. THIS WAS SO GOOD! locally caught fish from that morning which you could just taste the difference in how fresh it was compared to at home (we are from Missouri so not a lot of seafood going on there). This ceviche has Persian cucumbers, chilies which gave it a little subtle kick, lime, Thai basil, and corn nuts for a bit of a unique crunch which we loved! I just couldn't believe how fresh this dish tasted which really shows how out of the way chef ty goes to get the most fresh and local food available. I mean shopping for the food day of?! comon! amazing! The fifth dish was something that my mom and I talked about trying to make at home! it was grilled pepper shrimp with watermelon, pickled watermelon rind, and mint. It was so refreshing and so delicious with the peppered shrimp that you would never think to put the two together!!! Well see how my mom's and my dish turn out, but Im sure it will not be as delicious as chef ty's! The Main event was my dad favorite part of the meal. And let me tell you we had gone to halls chophouse the night before and my parents literally said that Chef Ty's steak was the best meal they had had all week. Chef Ty served 30 day aged prime New York Strip Steak with a local purple potato puree, roasted mushrooms and an incredible bordelaise sauce. The meat was so delicious, it just melted in your mouth. If you ever have Chef Ty for an event I highly highly highly suggest having him prepare this for you!! it was life changing. Finally after all this food you would think we wouldn't have been able to eat anymore. But then Chef Ty brings out personalized Vanilla Creme Brûlées out to the boat with Gingered Sugar on top and makes them table side right in from of us!! he tops them with fresh south Carolina Peaches on top and within minutes they were completely gone. It was the perfect way to end the meal. We finished with a toast and i could see how happy my parents were all thanks to Chef Ty. He really made the night one that we will never forget. I cannot thank you enough Chef Ty, you were more than I ever could have thought of and just a stand up guy. Cannot wait to work with you again!

We discussed the details ahead of time and everything was delivered as discussed, and then some. He is easy to work with and transparent on the cost. He was even able to gain access to our rental house to make sure the kitchen was adequate for our menu. I highly recommend Ty for your social gathering, as he will go above and beyond your expectations.

Chef Chuck has some big names on his resume but the real seller is when you try his food. You've been warned, you'll crave it. The concept, home cooked meals that you grab and go. I believe he will even warm them up for you if you call about an hour ahead. He's been selling out of a lot of things lately so get there early if you can! The chicken salad is unlike any chicken salad I've ever had before. If I was a chef, maybe I could explain it better but this is not remotely close to what you get in the grocery store where someone plopped a can of chicken, mayo and pickles together. This has levels of flavors and I'm not even sure how to describe it.

Every quarter, our Scout Troop does a Court of Honor where we recognize the accomplishments of the girls from the last few months. Each Court of Honor is set up for a pot-luck dinner where each family brings in something to share. I thought about making mac n cheese myself, which I'm highly capable of doing, but thought, why not support a small business who I know can make some kick-ass mac for the girls. Pickup was easily scheduled and completed. I arrived at the event with a huge tray of gourmet mac n cheese, and I think maybe I brought enough back home for me to have as a side for my next meal. Total winner with the families involved in our event. Excellent flavors and texture in each bite. Would recommend The Good Cooker for meals at home or for catering any event in the future.
