This is a beautiful facility to play hockey! The loony area is nIce for parents while waiting for the kids to play and I heard the popcorn was yummy! The bleachers are nice and very spacious for the fans! read more

Nice size stadium with plenty of room for big crowds. They have a decent size student section, but…read morethat area often dwindles during the game, and it can sometimes look quite empty by the end. It's a typical bleacher set-up, but I've seen people bring in cushions or chairs with backs. They do have some food and drink options, all typical concession food. They have some alcoholic drinks and sodas, but if you walk around the stadium, all the options are pretty much the same. The food includes pretzels, nachos, etc. Sometimes they will have food trucks such as lemonade and pizza. There's also a merch tent, but it's pretty cramped in there, and the line can get very long. Getting in is relatively simple. It's easier if you have the ticket added to your wallet and then you can scan in when you arrive. Employees are all very nice. You just can't bring in outside products like plastic water bottles. The band is great here! Always knock the halftime performance out of the park.

It's absolutely beautiful but not as big as other parks and not much to do but just sit down on a swing and enjoy the birds singing, looking at the lush green grass. Such a shame that there are so few people taking advantage of the park on a beautiful day. There is a private campground right next to it that all the seasonal camper has to do is take a step into the state park. Unfortunately we drove there as that is where the maps/gps led us. The actual campground is 1.6 miles or so away. So you can only go to the camper with your rv via the road. I'm unsure if we are able to hike to the state park via the state campground.

I have been taking Bar Method in Chicago for the last two months and became INSTANTLY hooked - the…read morefeeling I had when I left my first class was indescribable, and I started noticing changes in my body almost immediately. When I found out I would be traveling to Michigan for Thanksgiving, I knew I had to find a class in the area to satisfy my 'barre addiction.' I am so glad I found Relevé! Relevé is a barre fitness studio located right off Woodward in Birmingham. It's small so the classes feel more intimate and you have better visibility from the instructors. There is also a lot of parking available, so it's easy to just pop in and start the class (as opposed to a huge commercial studio/gym in which you have to park far away, go through locker rooms, etc.). I attended three classes when I was in town - one with Donna (cardio) and two with Beth (basic and cardio). They are both WONDERFUL instructors (with beautiful ballet bodies, so you know this class works!) and gave me very challenging workouts. They were both patient, knowledgeable and able to describe the different moves and benefits as we transitioned from section to section. I instantly felt the 'burn' and lots of good shaking in my muscles during each of our sets. If you are unfamiliar with barre, I highly encourage you to check out barre and this studio. You don't have to be an expert ballerina to do well- you just have to have a positive mental attitude and a willingness to work hard. You will notice changes in your body immediately! I only wish I could stay in Birmingham to take more classes at this studio. The next time I am in town, I will definitely be back! Thanks, Donna and Beth, for the great workouts!
