I am a yank from across the pond, New York to be exact. I was up visiting friends in the Woodbridge area and we happened to dine at The Cross 1652 one of the nights I was there.
We were greeted promptly by the staff and seated quickly. I had something in mind to eat and asked what they recommended that would be near that and the waitress was very knowledgeable.
Then we had yummy hot spinach soup and the texture was divine. The dinner was then delivered and the presentation was inviting. The food was very filling and offered something to my pallet that is normally accustomed to a bit of meat every now and then. Still, I was both satisfied with taste and it was very filling, which says a lot, because I do like American portions.
The host Julie was fun too and later I had a wonderful latte and chat with her at the granite bar.
I hope you too one day get to try this great find out. It is located about two blocks above the train station and is not difficult to find. Of special note too is that the name of this place is, actually it's estimated age. It used to be a pub. So, when in doubt, ask the locals where to find it and all generations can help you, because it goes back hundreds of years. It could tell a story-but make your own! Cheers! read more
