In short, one may expect a large amount of food for fairly cheap, but will have better luck ordering out then dining in, in the small shop. The food tastes great (not too oily either) and can be an especially fulfilling experience if you are very hungry/physically exhausted!
This is a very small, tasty fish & chips place. Most customers order to go, as the location doesn't contain any formal seating and can be quite crowded when busy. Do note though, that there is a small edge/bench along the back wall where you can plow through, if your appetite won't wait until home.
I ordered the Cod, which came with small chips, for £4. From my order, I received about a foot long piece of fish and a really solid amount of chips. Covered in vinegar and salt, the meal was simple, but nonetheless very satisfying. This is a strong recommendation for anyone who has had a long day or is very hungry. The piping hot fried goodness feeds the soul like no other.
I'm not an avid fish and chips connoisseur myself, however, I found myself delightfully pleased that the large fried cod never felt too fatty, or oily at all for that matter.
Definitely a good place to go if you are traveling through or visiting and struggling to find some reliable grub: simple and nothing to worry about. read more
