The restaurant that used to be inside the market is no longer there, so don't waste your time…read morereading those reviews. This market has almost everything you would need to make most Asian food recipes. You will find lots of products that you cannot find at local chain grocery stores, including fresh produce items. Sadly, the store is not very clean, the lighting is dim, and the aisles often have boxes of product in them making it difficult to navigate. The prices are not clearly posted. There is product in the store that is expired, so be sure to check expiration dates. The staff, though limited in the English language, are always friendly. I will continue to shop this store because of the unique products they carry and my need for these products to make Asian food recipes that I really enjoy eating.

I've struggled with writing this review, because in the end they did the right thing…read more We went for dinner on my birthday in July. It ordered the Seafood Platter and my wife had their Fried Shrimp. When the food finally came out (it was very slow) the shrimp were so overcooked that the tails were permanently affixed and I could not cut them with my fork. The server disappeared until she showed up with the bill. Both plates were untouched so she asked if we wanted doggy bags. I told her that I would not feed that to my dog, which she ignored and walked off with my credit card (I suppose I was secretly hoping she would notice that we hadn't eaten an offer some consolation). She didn't. After she returned with my credit card, I finally got the manager's attention and showed him what they had served. He apologized and went back with my CC and credited my account. As I said, they eventually did the right thing, but the entire ordeal was unnecessarily painful.

Went in 8-16-21 7:15pm, to get some lamb chops to make for dinner. I stood in front of the case for the meat and seafood and waited a while. The guy who worked the seafood and meat was behind the counter, a little off to the right. I wondered he was doing, because he hadn't even acknowledged me yet. I saw he was on his cell phone and couldn't be bothered to help me, so I walked out. That was my impression of the "wonderful" service there. ‍

The coating on the fish and shrimp was gigantic and nasty and I peeled it off the shrimp and just ate them plain. The fries were ok. Gig 'em!!! Aggies know meat!…read more This place is absolutely awesome. Utterly incredible. The prices look like they haven't changed them in years. Go in for the Aggie Special - a sausage wrap and a large soda for C H E A P. They also sell some fantastic beef jerky if you're looking for something chewy. Texas Monthly called their beef jerky something like, "transcendent." I'm inclined to agree. Some of the best beef jerky I've ever had. They sell beef, lamb, pork too. There are giant take home boxes where you can grab several pounds of meat at once for a big party or a tailgate. The prices are all so low. So obviously, all the meats are coming from the classes that they're teaching in the meat and food sciences building that this place is attached to. Those spare ribs might have been some student's midterm project. The meat is all displayed (shrink wrapped) in big glass cases. Prices are clearly displayed. Buy in bulk and save! Everything is clearly labeled with the Texas A&M logo so nobody gets confused about where you got your meat. They have helpful posters that inform the purchaser about where different cuts come from on the animal. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They offer a microwave in the corner if you need to warm up something and take it to go. My favorite is the sausage that's shaped into a football. Gig 'em! If you're on campus, you gotta check this out. This store will convert the strictest of vegetarians into carnivores! Whoop!
