It's now a brewers fayre which means reasonable food at reasonable prices. I wouldn't say this is a place to go if you want really good food, but if you want ordinary pub grub and a menu that's the same no matter which of the chain you go in (as you get with mcdonalds etc.) then this place will suit you. The food is good standard english fayre with no flares and no fuss. You get a good meal for your money in a decent atmosphere.

The food was nice, it was cooked on the premises which is good these days. I had a really nice pudding as well, unusual for me as I usually only go for the savoury. This place is one of those dark places with pictures etc on the walls. It is very comfortable and you can choose from bar, bench or chair seating. My OH said the most important factor is they sell abbot and eddie I have no idea what that is but apparently it is good!

Well, we paid to get into this pub (£5? Each) but there was NO LIVE music. Instead of live music, DJ was there. Selection of music was not what I expected... Music video was on, showing same video over and over. Some people left early evening. We enjoyed the music only for one hour or so. We didn't stay for a long time. We personally thought It wasn't worth it for us, paying the cover charges and taxi costs. Workers and DJ are cheerful and nice though.

We arrived 1 and 3/4 hours early to have a meal and drinks.....OH NO We were refused any drinks and food an told we must leave until 8,00, an hour before the show would begin. This ran over so basically we had to wait outside for about an hour , with lots of others who had turned up early to eat as well. When we were let in we were told that the kitchen was shut and no food was available.I am at a loss to know why this was not advertised before hand , all I can come up with that the management are VERY unprofessional and need some guidance to run this so that they may get repeat customers, as ourselves and many others I spoke to on the night will be giving this place a wide birth.
