Obviously there's no actual pharmacy here since it's on the river level with no access to street parking. It's not even your standard CVS. Sure, they have the basics like snacks, cosmetics, etc, but what tickled me were the ducky plushies in cowboy and beaver hats. There are also post cards and $20 phone chargers, one of which I needed since I accidentally left mine at the hotel. Would I come here to buy anything otherwise? Probably not, but it was certainly worth checking out. And the cashier was also very nice. She did ask if I have a phone number with CVS (I haven't for several years now. I wonder if they ever actually close those years old inactive accounts). She also allowed me to simply use the reusable bag from the Alamo we already had with us to save the trouble. Oh and an entire aisle dedicated to Texas and San Antonio. It was a fun time. Also, the shelves could probably stand to be wiped down more. Lots of dust. And what's this? No kitty cats to greet me? Now I'm sad. :( I'd come back just to see them, and they're good for keeping rodents away. So for the cat haters out there, bear in mind they're smarter than many give them credit for as they hunt mice and birds to keep the river walk free of infestations.

Instead, she just looked at me, I told her what I wanted, and that was it. If you're that tired or unhappy to be there, maybe call out. A little kindness and professionalism make a big difference.

Their beer selection is key when along the river, and they seem to specialize in canned beverages that you can take out on the river without getting in trouble. They also sell a whole bunch of river accessories, so t-shirts, bandanna, sunglasses, koozies, flip flops and the like. The canned goods are worth noting, since they've all been imported from across Texas and have all kinds of great flavors. If there's no wood on the porch, don't fret. They have a big ol' shipping container full of wood right out front. The clerk was nice when we went in. She had a customer keep an eye on the store while she helped us out with the firewood. The prices here were pretty high for firewood, but cheaper than buying it at the park. I don't think this place is ADA compliant with the steps to get in.

I have worked here before an I would NOT RECOMMEND eating there after realizing how they handle their production and produce in the back. They have nats where they fly around the ketchup, because they are to cheap to replace the bottles, they fly all over the ketchup, and to know they go and serve it like NOTHING! Also Ate a salad and they didn't wash the lettuce right it had a WORM in it which was highly digusting, they have not called a pest control and have roaches and crickets coming from everywhere...... Not to mention the sour cream for the bakes was molded and they scooped around the molding and still served it to customers!!!! ...... and when I did get fired the owner refered to me as the "HELP" due to my skin color which I find very racial!!!!!
