Came in for brunch with a decent sized group, the staff was very accommodating (we called ahead to make a reservation), and were able to put a few tables together for our party. All the staff we encountered were friendly and full of smiles.
As I got took time to get acquainted with the menu, I decided to try the 'ginger root squared' which was very similar in taste and ingredients to an Irish mule. So it was very easy sipping for me.
I eventually decided on the rump steak with a fried egg and kimchi fried rice. The rice was unfortunately dry, but the steak was solid, although there were a few tough parts that required some strength to cut through.
To quench my thirst during my meal i decide to have an old fashion, which I can't say that I'd recommend, the first sip tasted very watered down, and I was able to pin point what was missing, but there wasn't a very strong/flavorful finish, so it felt like there was an ingredient missing
The ambiance in the counter house is perfect for an afternoon of day drinking, moderate lighting, music playing loud enough to here, but soft enough to hold a meaningful conversation, and the space is very open which gives it a comforting feel, and bonus point that they have an open kitchen concept so you can pretty much see everything that is going on. read more
