When you walk through the door, it's clear this is so much more than a gift shop. Every corner is filled with wit, warmth, creativity, and a deep love for Provincetown and the queer community. Adam's artwork makes me laugh, makes me think, and reminds me of why this place has a special place in my heart.
I had the privilege of asking Adam during my last visit to sign a linen bag. He graciously did, and it made an already memorable visit even more meaningful. I may have left fanboying a little.
As a gay man, I have enormous respect for those who came before my generation--those who lived through Stonewall's legacy, the AIDS crisis, and continued creating spaces filled with hope, resistance, resilience, joy, and authenticity. Adam's work reflects that spirit. His messages celebrate queerness, courage, kindness, and the importance of being unapologetically yourself.
If you're visiting Provincetown, don't just stop in to shop. Take your time. Look around. Read the messages. Support artists who have helped shape the soul of this remarkable town that rekindles hope, reignites the embers of resistance, inspires courage, celebrates queerness, and gives us the will to keep going.
Thank you, Adam, for sharing your talent, your kindness, and your heart with all of us. I'll treasure that signed bag for years to come.
