There are shops you visit because you're looking for a souvenir, and then there are places like Adam's Nest that become part of your P-town tradition. When you walk through the door, it's clear this is so much more than a gift shop. Every corner is filled with wit, warmth, creativity, and a deep love for Provincetown and the queer community. Adam's artwork makes me laugh, makes me think, and reminds me of why this place has a special place in my heart. I had the privilege of asking Adam during my last visit to sign a linen bag. He graciously did, and it made an already memorable visit even more meaningful. I may have left fanboying a little. As a gay man, I have enormous respect for those who came before my generation--those who lived through Stonewall's legacy, the AIDS crisis, and continued creating spaces filled with hope, resistance, resilience, joy, and authenticity. Adam's work reflects that spirit. His messages celebrate queerness, courage, kindness, and the importance of being unapologetically yourself. If you're visiting Provincetown, don't just stop in to shop. Take your time. Look around. Read the messages. Support artists who have helped shape the soul of this remarkable town that rekindles hope, reignites the embers of resistance, inspires courage, celebrates queerness, and gives us the will to keep going. Thank you, Adam, for sharing your talent, your kindness, and your heart with all of us. I'll treasure that signed bag for years to come. read more

Our friend Bob introduced us to this cute little store on the East side of Provincetown. Adam, the owner was very friendly and talkative. The merchandise was great..lots of fun LGBTQ+ items...from postcards to buttons to t-shirts to sweatshirts...and much more....their online store is open all year round and there you can access any of the merchandise available at the store. Great place to shop. read more

See all

There is something to be said about a guy who not only sees a need, but then he actually works to help make our world a better place. The t-shirts are great, but also thoughtful and thought provoking. Maybe some might even say shocking, but if it makes someone think and support charities, I think this works. And thanks for making me look like a hero to my daughters as we *all* support Planned Parenthood and womens health. Go Adam! I can't wait to shop (and giggle--and exchange looks with you about important issues) again. read more

Adam was a fave small biz owner in a town that has wildly gentrified over the years. His tshirts were great including the retro read my lips & his gay gun control shirt had us howling in delight. A queer treasure with infinite fabulosity inside. read more

Among the very best of Ptown businesses. Not only is the merch cute and smart, but Adam actually knows the histories behind each of the images on his apparel, searches for wonderful books and zines, and takes the time to share all that knowledge with his patrons. This place is a total delight! read more

Unfortunately I have to order online but I LOVE this store and will def be visiting my next trip to the east coast. The owner is a rockstar and the selection of items referencing serious issues made clever is amazing. The shipping was lightning fast also. Def go check them out!! read more

I have rarely seen so many awesome items for sale in one tiny store. It's super organized and the owner has one of each shirt in a specific section so each year I can quickly go in and find the new designs I like! He then quickly tells me each color available for that design in my size. The pin selection is great too! I love that each shirt is linked to a charity read more

What a great store with the cutest products. Love their t-shirts. Ordered one online and experienced the best customer service. I can't wait to visit the store again on my next Ptown trip. read more

Having seen the best ptown T-shirt in the window on the way to dinner, I was hoping the shop would be open later. Luckily, I had the great opportunity to catch Adam during my last few moments in town. Much to pleasant surprise, the shop is more than just a T-shirt place, but a mini gallery, fantastically curated. Even the T-shirt's are not just your average souvenir. I left with only (immediately became my favorite) sweatshirt and a small, original illustrated book and already regret not having the time to consider some of the artwork. Adam's Nest will definitely pull me back to ptown next year. Highly highly recommend read more

I stopped in here with some friends while waiting for a dinner reservation. I was initially lured in by the $10 bin outside. But I was so happy I spent more time there! This store is great. I'm not a novelty shirt fan, but these are really great and worth buying. Aside from the shirts, there is a great collection of interesting art. I'm especially fond of the hairy man needlepoints. I bought a burgundy butt pirate shirt. I look forward to collections more shirts on future visits. read more

Stopped in here with a bit of time to kill After oyster happy hour and a few drinks. Wasn't planning to have such a fun exchange with (I assume) Adam about the art and artists. He directed me to a smutty coloring book with lyrics from the pop songs of my youth and I had a blast guessing the artist and had to buy the book. A souvenir that actually supports an independent artist, had an excellent story attached and will shock on my coffee table. Best shop on Commercial St. read more

Adam is incredibly friendly and he always has interesting items in his shop. I highly recommend you stop by and say hello!

excellent service: Even though there was a cruise-ship full of us visiting P-Town, the proprietor was relaxed and chatty - in no rush whatsoever! amazing variety: The graphic shirts here are unlike anywhere else - such beautiful work that span from artistic to erotic without being (IMHO) pornographic. Once I decided on a shirt, I asked for my size, and in a flash he had it pulled out and ready for me. If you visit P-Town, stopping in for a visit, browse, and hopefully a purchase must be on your to-do list... read more

Adam's store is the best store in town. His taste is excellent, he's a real charmer himself, and he also donates proceeds from sales to amazing charitable organizations, which is maybe THE best reason to shop there. read more

This is an amazing shop and a MUST VISIT on your way through the boutiques at P-Town. The owner is an absolute angel and sweetheart who you can tell has poured his heart and soul into this business. He has the most wonderful sense of style and sense of humor - the items are always fresh and on-point politically and stirring all at the same time. I will visit this place time and time again! And, I love my banana cream lighthouse shirt. Plan to give it to a friend for Christmas but I don't know if I can part with it - maybe my pal and I will have to share it. Thanks again, Adam! read more

Adam's Nest was the perfect place to shop on my Provincetown vacation. Located right next to Wired Puppy on Commercial Street, I was able to find unique shirts, interesting books, funny pins, and look at some amazing art that I hadn't seen anywhere else. The place is small, welcoming, and definitely has that groovy PTown vibe that makes stopping in here fun. I bought a shirt for a friend who is still thanking me for it weeks later, so I know I'll be coming back in August and getting more. Adam, the owner, is really welcoming and has a lot of great info about enjoying the town. This store is a refreshing addition to the usual shopping stops on Commercial Street, can't wait to come back! read more
