Walked into this store because the colorful shirts caught my attention. The store is very roomy and ample...shirts are hung all around the perimeter of the store, so it's easy to shop and check stuff out. The attendant was very nice and when I walked in, he told me about the store and the way things are made at Seaplane.
All products are made in the USA in tiny batches, from leftover fabric carefully selected out in California. All fabrics are hand made into shirts and shorts....then machine washed and dried, then preshrunk.
Seaplane is a direct-to-consumer model for artisanal, American production, making just a few collectible pieces per print. Each item has a number like 50/150, so you know you are getting an original item, made by one of the six person team in their Philadelphia studio.
The average price point is in the $125-$175 per shirt. read more
