While I did find some teachers to be nice, I found many to be fake nice. Smile at you but scream at the kids. Mind you the children are 3-5 years old. I believe they use times excessively for this age group, they use write ups excessively for this age group, they do not provide enough activities, and I felt they were always treating black boys harshly when I was around. They have one teacher I believe her name is Mary who was terrible to toddlers screamed at them from drop off to pick up. I stayed and caught marry yelling at my son as soon as she thought I left . Chastising babies as if they understand her logic. I heard her berating children. She also has a bluelivematters sticker (mind you I have never seen a Blue human) in a place with many black children and teachers which to me directly says black lives do not matter. I spoke to the director about the teachers and the use of 10 minute or more time outs on 3 year olds. Terrible way to treat little ppl. Pay more and go somewhere else.

I am personally amazed at the ways the kids are learning to use technology now. Overall, I am quite happy to be a part of this school.

Our kids have thrived academically and enjoyed participating in extracurricular activities. Both areas that we found lacking in public school where we felt that the teachers really did not know our kids. We've been particularly impressed with the middle school teachers and the overall middle school experience. The strong academic focus and supportive environment have been invaluable. We feel similarly about the elementary school, which also provides an excellent foundation. The after-school programs, including Cross Country, Drama Club, Outdoor Living Skills Club, and Cooking Club, have also been exceptional. The teachers and staff leading these activities have been wonderful role models and have created a sense of community outside the classroom.

She absolutely thrives there and doesn't want to be anywhere else. They have been so great to work with! Some things that we love about MCDS are the academic rigor, the school/life flexibility, and the nurturing environment. First, you will find at MCDS that they are usually one year ahead of the public school system. But on top of this, they also place the students according to their needs. So, if they need to be challenged more, they will move them up to something more advanced. Likewise, if the student needs more help in a subject, MCDS will make sure the student gets the individual attention they need to succeed. This is so much better than the public school system where every child has to fit the same mold. We also have an older son who has always been in the public school system. We clearly notice a difference in how MCDS sets their students up for success while the public school tends to not cater to the individual needs. Either the student is advanced or they are not, there is no in between and it is really difficult to move up. Second, the faculty and administration at MCDS are always willing to work with us to ensure our daughter has what she needs. If we need to take a trip during school or she is sick from school, they have always been good to work with us, to ensure that our daughter has what she needs and gives her the flexibility to make up work. They have also been very open to feedback about how to improve or what programs that we would like to see added. They work very hard to see how they can accommodate these requests. Lastly, we really appreciate the nurturing environment they create at MCDS. My daughter is so happy there, we couldn't imagine sending her anywhere else. She is growing to be a confident, smart and caring person and we have to say a lot of that is due to her time at MCDS. The teachers really get to know the students and take the time to be a part of their lives helping them grow into well-rounded individuals whether it is joking with them at lunch, helping with pancake breakfast or teaching one of the clubs. They teach the children to respect one another as well as the teachers at a very early age. The older students participate in a peer leader program where they work with the younger children to help them grow and learn. Not only is this a great program to teach the older students leadership skills and responsibility, but it helps provide a good example for the younger ones on how to behave and treat others. While MCDS is a small school, they are able to offer a nice variety of extracurricular activities for the students at all grade levels. They offer activities like track, soccer, cooking club, outdoor survival skills, drama, and yearbook. The kids really love all of these and it gives them something else to look forward to at school. It helps to build the camaraderie between the students regardless of age and they really support each other. As a parent, we are very grateful for our daughter to have this wonderful experience. Mendham Country Day School has become a part of our family and we couldn't imagine sending our daughter anywhere else.

When you drop off you have that anxiety that NOBODY can care for your child like you. You know their different cries, their schedules, Cues. They don't know these strangers. What if the teachers can't do it like you? Well, the teachers arent you... they do it like professionals!!! You only have 1 kid... they have multiple. I've walked into the room so many times impressed that they do this day in and day out with a smile. I remember sitting at a red light soon after starting, and my daughter kept putting her hand towards her mouth. She did this a couple days before I realized she was using sign language!!! My husband and I instantly started practicing so we could recognize what our daughter was saying! It was amazing to feel we could communicate with her, and she wasn't as frustrated because we could understand her! As she she gets older, se switches to new teachers. They do a great job introducing them gradually before the full switch! 2. Baby #2 we started at 5 months old. Equal amount of tears in my eyes as I dropped off. I instantly pulled up the camera and watched them hug her and shake some toys to get her attention. My anxiety was related to bottles this time. My daughter never had a bottle. Exclusive breastfeed. We tried introducing a bottle around 4 months, using all the tricks. But no success. How would my baby eat?!!!! I was so lucky that I work next door. The teacher would give it a couple attempts and if no success they would call me and I'd walk over. They let me nurse in the backroom. I did this for a week or 2 until finally the teachers messaged me in the app saying SUCCESS!! She took her first full bottle! They were just as excited and proud as I was. The app communication center is great. Even now, we had an unusual drop off that the girls were both emotional and "off". I can just send a message "how is their day going" and they keep me in the loop!! Great piece of mind! There isn't a bad teacher in the bunch!! All the teachers know our kids names, even if they aren't in their class! We walk down the hallway and they all use their names when saying goodbye for the day!!!

During the day, I receive live updates on her activities with pictures. If I have a question, I am able to email the teachers, and they respond during naptime. You are able to sign your child up for a sports class that they have once during the week. I can not recommend Lightbridge Academy enough to my friends.

They make the 4 year olds wear uniforms (never disclosed), all children must use the school provided backpacks (never disclosed) amongst other school related decisions we were not disclosed. When we attempted to get our registration fee back we were told we're weren't charged tuition and the charge wasn't enforced as a "good faith" gesture. Pretty much you're lucky so no your $600 registration is ours. The owner was absolutely rude and snarky. The education director is cold and very rude. Make sure you ask every question you can think of because they don't ask, don't tell.

Our now 2yo daughter started at Primrose of Florham Park last summer after we relocated to the area. During a time of such transition for her, Ms. Samuels and her other teachers provided so much nurturing, love, and compassion for her. She has since transitioned into the Toddlers class where Ms. White and Ms. Santana are loving and patient with her antics AND she learns so much. Over Christmas, she came home one day and just started naming colors (at 18mo!!). She now counts as she goes down the stairs. It's clear that education truly is the foundation for everything they do and that they do it with love for each child. Lastly, I will say that in addition to her teachers, our daughter has great relationships with people at Primrose who aren't even her teachers - Ms. Cathy, Ms. Joseph, etc. To me, this shows that the culture at the school is amazing in every classroom environment. Another benefit of going to Primrose is the app they use - Procare. This may seem trivial but it's been a huge upgrade from our previous daycare. You can customize notifications to get real-time photos and updates from your child's day. And, on tough mornings, the school will send extra photos to reassure you that your little one is okay. Regarding COVID-19, the school has taken critical precautions that thus far have prevented any school shutdowns or outbreaks. It is sometimes inconvenient to keep our daughter home with a cold while we wait for a COVID-19 result; however, it gives me peace that everyone else has to do it too. Overall, we're so glad that we chose Primrose. And our daughter is too - she squeals when we pull into the school parking lot most days.
