Or at…read moreleast my father reckons he's got some very vivid memories of being one of four kids squeezed into the back seat of an old falcon for the somewhat exciting trip home as his rather pissed grandfather (cultural note for non-Australians: "Pissed" in Australia means drunk, not annoyed) attempted to keep a relatively straight line down the notoriously windy Deakin Avenue (note for non-locals: Deakin is perfectly straight, but far less so after about the seventh or twelfth beer). Long story short, it's been here for ages. I've only been coming here for a couple of years, myself. But it is one of my favourite places for a counter meal in Mildura. The food is invariably good, reasonably priced, and it's generally quiet enough for me to hear conversation that's happening at my table, which is a big deal because I'm pretty deaf. Anyway, this pub is pretty awesome, and if it wasn't for that guy I would have never known that it existed. It basically has a lovely verandah, and a great, and quite large, from bar. When my family did show up, I got a pint, a coke and a tasting tray for the family. It came to $31!!! The coke was $5.50, pint was $11 and the tasting tray was now $14.50. When she bought the tasters over it only had 8 beers on it so I explained that I'd got 9 earlier, she to me that the bartender I got was probably just being nice...so I told her that I saw two other people with 9 on theirs too and she went and got the other one, with an attitude mind you and spilt a quarter of it when putting it down...

Selection on tap to suit all tastes and samplers trays good value to choose your favourite drop ! Staff were friendly and chatty,didn't try the food menu but what was coming out to tables near us looked yum. Even bought a six pack to take back to the motel. Thumbs up here for me !
