After months of anticipation... I finally made it to Alfie's…read more It was exactly what I was hoping it would be: a slice of culture. Real people. Real life. Real youth. Real energy. Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. No complaining about that ! lol

They made sure the air was ln for anticipation of a large crowd. I wish the outdoor space had a better sound system however it backs up to a residential neighborhood ( so let's not disturb the peace). Cute kitschy spot - gives 70s nostalgia The fur on the women's bathroom entrance was interesting

A last-minute dinner turned into an all-nighter…read more THE PUB / POINTE ORLANDO NIGHT/ and other Pointe Orlando Venues -- 09.2026 Saturday night started simple. My wife and I decided at the last minute to go out for dinner -- more of a go out, dress flashy, wine-and-dine type of evening. We love music, so the original plan was dinner, then maybe spend an hour at PBR Cowboy Bar listening to the music before heading home. Well... according to the timestamp, we left the next day -- early morning! Ha! My wife enjoyed the complimentary offers through Live! at The Pointe Orlando, and we ended up checking out several venues we had never experienced before. The Palm Tree Club had a completely different look and energy. The skyline was beautiful, and there was something pretty cool about being able to see the moon while dancing. So, one can say it's open style venue. The music leaned toward dance/EDM/rave-style music, at least from what I understood. We stepped into Shark Bar for the first time and enjoyed the Spanish music and reggaeton. Then we visited Still Lounge by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. I could honestly sit there and chill all night. There's just something about old-school music that makes you bob your head, sing along, and relax. Definitely take time to check out the memorabilia inside. And finally -- PBR. Yes, the line was LONG. Out of every venue we visited, PBR was clearly one of the places everyone wanted to be. The music was fantastic. Hearing everything from Michael Jackson and Journey to Toby Keith -- and then hearing the entire crowd singing along -- gave the place a completely different energy. What I especially appreciate is the recognition shown to military members, law enforcement, first responders, and others who serve. The crowd is fun, the energy is high, the drinks are reasonable, and the atmosphere makes it very easy to lose track of time. I wanted to mash up all the photos from every venue we visited that night because the pictures really tell the story -- one stop turned into another, and before we knew it, we had experienced an entire night across Pointe Orlando. A huge thank-you to Kyle for the invitation and hospitality. It was greatly appreciated and helped turn a last-minute dinner into an unforgettable night for my wife and me. Love the VIP bands Highly recommend PBR Cowboy Bar Orlando. At this point, I honestly don't know why people feel the need to drive downtown when there is this much nightlife, music, food, and entertainment all in one place at Pointe Orlando. I wish after 8pm, metropolis stop charging for parking. #Salute

We were 40s and up, but you could tell there were some 20-year-olds there which was fine. They played an array of music, including Country and rap. There is a mechanical bull there however it was not in service when we went. I did visit the restrooms and they were very clean. I don't believe they serve any food here. We did come on a Tuesday night, so it really was not that busy. I'm sure the weekends has quite a crowd.

Went here for the last day of magical dining and the food did not disappoint…read more Most latin restaurants don't offer anything while you wait so we were pleasantly surprised when we received bread which may I add was hot and fresh! We first got our drinks and that alone told me I was coming back even if it was just for a drink! Apps: Empanadas - Chicken & Picadillo. Came with green sauce which paired perfectly with both empanadas. Papa rellenas - Just the right ratio of potato and meat fried perfectly. Entrees: Both dishes were served with mashed potatoes. The beef had a wonderful flavor and the chicken had a semi sweet glaze. Dessert: The churros were good but they were plenty sweet without the chocolate sauce. The tres leche cake was tiny but dense and I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. I wish this place was a little more lively. Perhaps they can play music. Parking is available in a paid parking garage. Cuba Libre does NOT validate parking.

However, happy we came early because the dinner lasted 2 1/2 hours. Sometimes you don't want to be rushed, and in that case, you have to come here because they will take it very slow. For me it worked up because they started off with complementary Cuban bread and sweet butter, which was so delicious that I was instantly full so I was happy. The food didn't come out very fast besides the magical dining menus. We also ordered the croquetas appetizer. It was presented nicely in a little basket with two sauces. The order had six pieces: three ham and three chicken. They were nice and crispy. However, the filling of both was bland. It was so bland, We couldn't at first even tell, which was which. For an appetizer, I had the shrimp and my friend had the black bean soup. The shrimp are really good and came with a slice of French baguette. The black bean soup was like a side of black beans and really delicious but definitely not a soup. As I mean, I got the vegetarian paella, which was pretty good and my friend had the chicken with mashed potatoes and broccolini, which was also good. The big hit was the dessert. I had the flan which came with a delicious cookie, whipped cream and a dulce de Leche sauce. The mini churros were also really good with a filling and a chocolate sauce. It is not cheap normally so magical dining is a good reason to come here. I also picked this place thinking on a Saturday night there would be entertainment however, there was none of that. We also because of that opted to sit outside because inside it is freezing cold. It was not a bad experience. It was a pleasant evening, but the food has definitely room for improvement. The service was great. Our server was very friendly and did her very best.
