The shop is bursting with products, so the aisles are a bit tight for passing people stopped to check out the fun products. We ordered an ice cream flight with five samples, perfect for sharing since we couldn't decide on just one of the many delicious flavors. The assortment of chocolates looked amazing too. Upstairs, you can stroll through a collection of antiques that add even more charm to the place. We really enjoyed our visit -- it's a place that makes you slow down, take it all in, and maybe leave with a few extra treats you didn't plan on.

However this is not just a candy store. This is a great store to stop at for a gift. Soup mix kits, spices, jellies, and hot sauces are popular items. They also sell Tervis, Mizzou items, and novelty gifts. The section I liked the best was full of lake and beach house decorations. Ozark Maid sells San Sabra Peach Pecan Amaretto Jelly. This Jelly is hands down the best thing on Earth. You can use it on everything from toast, biscuits, and scones to Ice Cream. Trust me, you want to pick up a jar today! Having said that - the store had clean but small restrooms, the attached restaurant was packed at lunch time, so I assume it is good, and an ecletic collection of stuff to buy, including a broad selection of Missouri wines and Route 66 souvenirs. Note: Stuckeys has purchased some candy making capacity and is actually making it's own products as opposed to outsourcing the production which it had for several decades.

The staff were friendly, the shop very neat with quirky pieces of furniture. Great place to stop on Route 66 for a refreshing treat.
