This was a slight problem as I had traveled from Manchester and had a large overnight bag with me. The staff were fantastic and the duty manager took my bag and stored it safely in his office leaving me free to have a great time. The theatre itself is lovely with very good acoustics. I had a great time. After the concert I was very well looked after by the security manager who, when the manager came down with my bag opened the ladies toilet to allow me to change. He then carried my very heavy bag into the staff car park for me(as I was travelling with the organisation) keyed me into the car park!! I was treated very well by a attentive and friendly staff, its a great venue and I can't wait to return.

They seem to have a decent range of acts and shows on, and the seats that we had gave us a decent view and didn't seem too cramped, and the ticket prices pretty average. Just a small complaint - there isn't much parking nearby, so there is a bit of a walk to the largest car park, but I wouldn't let that put you off. It's on the edge of the town centre so handy for there if you want to go and find something to eat or drink.

This is a local theatre that oputs on a superb range of plays throughout the year. It is a…read morerelatively new building and as such the auditorium is very well staggered so that nobodys view is ever obscured, however short they may be. It also gives a very open view of the stage area. The rest of the establishment is well maintained and there is a nice tea and coffee area which also provides light meals. Upstairs is a bar area and you can order drinks for collection during the intervakl as well as socialising at either end of the performance. Parking is situated in a paying carpark underneath the theatre iteself. The absolute high point in the theatres calendar is the Christmas Rock and Roll pantomime. It is truly exceptional every year and appeals to ages 4 to 104.

This is a great little cinema that tends to show the sort of films that don't get screened in the…read moremainstream multiplexes that cater for hoodie-wearing "yoof" (which is good, because the audience here is what you get when all the chattering, phone-fiddling, sweet-rustlers have gone to see Yet More Formulaic Hollywood Action Dross 4: The Next Sequel! at Cineplex Planet "R" Us). Ipswich Film Theatre closed down due to dwindling audiences a few years ago. A commercial chain took it over for a little while but, fortunately, soon left and moved on as they couldn't make enough money from the place. A group of cinephiles founded the Ipswich Film Theatre Trust and did a deal with the owners of the site (Ipswich Borough Council) and, staffed by volunteers, the place now offers the good people of Ipswich a reasonable range of independent, alternative, European and non-mainstream films three evenings a week. There are two cinemas: the larger one has had a cheap 'n' cheerful refit. While the new seats aren't the most comfortable seats in the world (or even in the Corn Exchange for that matter), you can get by for a couple of hours. The smaller cinema is an absolute treasure. Its tiny (it seats about 40) and the seats are very comfortable. There's an under-used area adjacent to the small cinema that is wasted (it should be a coffee bar) and there are two bars in the building but, shamefully, neither is open to serve a pint of real ale to accompany the real cinema. Overall, this is the kind of venue that needs a University film society to give it a shot in the arm and a kick in the pants: it should be open six evenings a week with the odd all-nighter schlock fest, along with decent beer and reasonable food on sale (anyone remember the wonderful days--and nights!--of The Scala at Kings Cross before it had to close?)

Being a 'shapely' lady I was more than a little apprehensive about joining the class but I really had no reason to worry. Jo immediately puts you at ease and gives lots of encouragement and individual attention. I have met a fantastic group of women and we have such a laugh. It's the best form of exercise I have ever found because you don't realise how hard you are working (and it doesn't cost anywhere near a Gym membership). The class has done wonders for my waistline and my confidence. I can highly recommend Naia for Belly Dance to every woman I meet and I look forward to the weekly class. I would highly recommend belly dancing to anyone looking for a different way to exercise, I really look forward to the class every week.
