Well. I am flabbergasted upon the discovery of this place! I pride myself in knowing the ins and outs of most (or at least a lot) of Dublin's hidden gold, but this one, well this one clearly escaped the net!
Nestled down the back alley of the ever-characterful Synge St, it's completely out of eye sight of any passing bodies, masquerading as one of the garages that surrounds it.
Once you're inside, it opens up tenfold in volume, into a contemporary light filled space that extends well back, out and up! It's so big in fact, that it has a little atrium in the centre with a barbeque and planting (will someone invite me to a bbq there pleeaassseeee!!!)
What do they do here? It's a gallery as the name suggests, an incredibly versatile event space, they do fine art printing and framing and facilitate many artistic endeavours.
I'd highly recommend calling in here from time to time, if even to check out the stunning architecture of the building, and to take in one of their undoubtadly brilliant exhibitions. read more
