If you're spending the day in Burford, take the time to drive a few more minutes to stop by the Burford Garden Company. It is so much more than a plant store (though they do have plants a'plenty). There is an extensive selection of unique clothing items for both men and women--outerwear, fashion items, and footwear are all available. There is a wonderful selection of intriguing decor items from brightly colored candles to gorgeous pottery to beautiful furniture. There's a particularly wonderful Christmas department as well--I found a charming Advent calendar and the cutest little cards to go on Christmas gifts. There's an amazing tea shop at which you can find delicious food items (hot and cold, sweet and savory--you name it!). It was exactly what we needed for lunch. Don't miss the food shops, either--they have an extensive selection of chocolates from around the world, traditional cakes and cookies, and a liquor store with a highly respectable selection of gin. Plenty of parking is available, the service is wonderful, and there really is something for everyone.
