Definite LAST RESORT for Room 104. Stayed 2 Nights, Wednesday and Thursday. On arrival there was a welcome folder on the Dressing Table, which was actually strategically placed to cover a cig burn. I think I managed approx. 2 to 3 hrs sleep each night, and that was WITH SOFT EAR PLUGS IN. Room 104 is adjoining the lift shaft which is the noisiest, clunking, clanking lift ever with a banging door, and this doesn't get any better even after midnight, because the hotel is full of contractors who are out clubbing till 3, 4 and 5 in the morning then coming in and practising for the 2012 400mtrs up and down the corridors and banging and slamming doors. The Hotel could do with installing Automatic Soft Close'' Doors. On top of this, on the morning of my departure I found 3 silverfish scurrying around in the bathroom. Which was no surprise as the waste water pipe going through the floor had a 1/2" gap all around it into the void. I did contemplate asking for a move but that wouldn't have stopped the Early ...
