I should have been a junior but I was stuck being a sophomore for another year. I went back to ACC trying to get my science class & lab done during the summer but AGAIN they require a class that my university doesn't. This was after I signed up for a class months in advance and paid for it only to find out a couple days before summer registration closes that they've cancelled the class leaving me with very few choices with professors that don't have good ratings. Unless you're graduating from ACC, you could be wasting a lot of money.

Class sizes are small and every teacher there knows my children, even if they were not their specific teacher, which makes me feel like we are a part of a family. Facility is always clean, bright and comfortable. The staff are always smiling and genuinely happy to see the kids. They are open and willing to accommodate to my children's dietary needs and allow cloth diapering. My daughter attended for 4 years and loved every minute. She wanted to get there early and stay late every day. She is currently 9 years old and going into 4th grade. She is a TAG student and does well in all her classes. My son is 4 and is a current student. He loves his teachers and comes home everyday with proud stories of what he learned and the fun time he had with his teachers and friends. He comes home saying new Spanish words every week and seems to be understanding more and more since he first started 2 years ago. All of the achievements and happiness that my children have experienced while at the Ivy International School is because of the knowledgable and warm hearts of the staff which pours down from the top. Esmeralda, the director, always has a smile on her face to greet the children when they arrive. She clearly communicates upcoming deadlines and events. And is in the classrooms daily to help out wherever needed whether that means to clean a spill, assist a teacher or wipe a butt. When times were hard for us as a family, she was understanding, flexible and a great support for both myself and my daughter. I recently moved to Round Rock and the drive takes me 30-45 mins on some days but I wouldn't have it any other way because I know it is what is best for my child.

This location is so easy to get to - the classes are comfortable - and there's a coffee shop on the main floor open until 7 PM. The staff have been super friendly while I work to find my way around or need a jump for my car because my battery died. At least they always make me feel "special" given the amount of money I am investing in myself and their institution.

The lab computers in room 203 were modern Dell workstations - 16 GB RAM, 3.5 Ghz processors, and dual monitors.

What we experienced instead was ego-driven administration, chronic instability, and a leadership team more concerned with control than care. Teachers were underpaid. Supplies were missing. Ratios were questionable. Parents noticed. When a beloved teacher resigned after being stretched thin and under-supported, she was immediately removed from campus. Parents were told a sanitized version of events that did not align with reality. When families calmly asked for transparency, the response from ownership was not accountability. It was retaliation. Our child -- who had done absolutely nothing wrong and was thriving -- was abruptly expelled because his parents dared to question leadership. A school that claims to be child-centered removed a thriving child to avoid discomfort. The most painful part is that the teachers were wonderful. Dedicated. Loving. Doing everything they could. The problem was not the educators. It was the administration -- specifically the owner -- who consistently chose optics over honesty and control over collaboration. A school's culture is set at the top. When leadership is insecure and reactive, children and families pay the price. We are heartbroken for the teachers who work hard without support. We are heartbroken for the families who will eventually discover these patterns for themselves. And we are heartbroken that our child had to absorb the consequences of adult ego. Families deserve transparency. Teachers deserve respect. Children deserve better. At the end of the day, here's what this experience taught me: Pay attention to how leadership responds when questioned. Any organization can look polished when things are smooth. The real culture shows up when someone asks a hard question. We saw teachers working hard, often without adequate support. We saw parents raising reasonable concerns. And we saw leadership respond by closing ranks instead of opening dialogue. When trust erodes, it's rarely because of one incident. It's because transparency feels optional. We don't regret advocating for a teacher. We don't regret asking about ratios. We don't regret standing up for what felt misaligned. If anything, this experience clarified something important... The right school for our child will welcome engaged parents, not remove them.

On the positive side, the staff is generally friendly, and the school organizes some cute and enjoyable activities throughout the year for the children. They provide meals, which is convenient, and their hours of care are good and flexible, which can be helpful for working parents. Communication is also quite solid for infants and children under 2 years old who are not yet potty trained, with regular updates throughout the day. On the downside, staff turnover is extremely high, and changes in personnel typically happen without prior notice to parents. Communication changes significantly once children turn 2 or become fully potty trained--daily updates largely stop, and communication becomes very sporadic. We also experienced a situation where our child was repeatedly physically aggressed by another child. We raised the concern, but there was little to no effective action taken to address or resolve the issue, which was disappointing. Overall, The Nest has some conveniences and friendly elements, but there are areas--particularly staff stability, communication for older toddlers, and conflict management--that could use improvement

As a first-time mom, I was extremely cautious about who I trusted to watch her, so having that feeling of safety with the school meant a lot to me. The center is a small, family-owned place, and the staff is amazing and very loving toward the children. My daughter is about to turn three and loves coming every day. She has flourished throughout the years of being here. She can count, knows her colors, and is a social little butterfly. I can't be more thankful to the teachers who have my daughter daily and help her grow. Bright Kids has been a wonderful environment for her development, and I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a nurturing and safe place for their child.
