Pools are nice but they have other serious sanitation issues here. Ax the guy with the clipboard pestering everyone unnecessarily..Instead put a hose in his hand to spray the bird shit off all the chairs and walkways (and gates, and tables, etc). It's really disgusting. Even worse is the green-watered hot tub filled with human waste. Someone needs proper training on hot tub chemicals. It's literally bacteria soup, so don't get it in your mouth.

Huge recreation center for college park residents. I enjoy the monthly parties they have here like the "casino night" on Feb 1. They had live gaming (for points not cash) for prizes. Was able to connect with several neighbors. They also have many activities for the family like weekly Donuts on Saturday morning. Not to mention the several pools and jacuzzis. Plus a water park for the kids. They have rooms for rent for private parties and a 24 hour gym for residents. If you are lucky enough to love here, then you should enjoy the amenities.

Splash Pad! The kids love it!

It was a very warm day, so he got to splash around in the water play area for the first time ever -- and he absolutely loved it! Watching him laugh and enjoy the sprays and shallow water made the whole trip so special. If you're a mom looking for a fun, free place to hang out with your toddler, this is the spot. There's plenty of room to run around, great shaded areas, and lots of picnic tables so you can easily pack a lunch or snacks and make a day of it. It's also perfect for small birthday parties -- you can set up your own little celebration without any hassle. Quick tip: You do need a reservation for weekends, but Monday through Friday no reservation is needed. Be sure to check their website for updates and availability. We had such a relaxed and enjoyable time. It's a wonderful, low-key park that's toddler-friendly and free. Highly recommend it for other families with little ones! We'll definitely be back soon.

In the summer, there's a splash pad and even a water slide. There are different sections to play in, including a small baseball area, swings and a zip line. The perimeter is fenced in so kids can't run off out of the area. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, with plenty of room to change after the water play. It is adjacent to another park, so there is plenty of parking nearby. If you've got kids, this park is definitely worth a visit! Note : Their hours can be tricky in the summer, due to YL summer camp that takes place, so check their website for more info.

There is a cafe/ convenience store across from the campground where you can also purchase your day use park pass for $5. I experienced a foggy day, which gave a cooling effect to my hiking. Restrooms are vault toilets, so unpleasant smells and a mess are a given. The lake has lots of swampy algae, therefore not appropriate for swimming or water sports. However, they do allow fishing with permit. I am a nature enthusiast and it was saddening to see the lack of humans respect for nature, with graffiti and trash in some areas of the park. Crystal lake definitely could use more funding to preserve its natural beauty. The loveliest part is listening to woodpeckers as they work, watching an eagle fly above with a fish in its talons, and treading quietly not to startle the squirrel who is crossing my path. I suggest picking up a map with hiking trails from the rangers post or convenience store, before planning your day!

Clean, empty (we came on a weekday), and we still didn't get to try all the amenities. $30 for 3 hours honestly got us through arcade games, bowling, playing pool and volleyball. And 99 cent ice cream to top it off? Amazing. Note: the mall itself is pretty much vacant. Wouldn't try to go shopping. 4/5 stars due to roller skating and go karting not running when we came.

Coming back years later with somewhat optimistic expectations, it sadly now looks like a shell of what it could have been. On Sunday afternoon, we decided to check out Spo-Cha since we had nothing else to do while hanging out with friends. While I was already anticipating having to use shared equipment, it was honestly really gross seeing communal sports equipment just being hung up after use or thrown in the same bin for the next person to use... and not to mention, everything was VERY sweaty too. There were no attendants actively cleaning equipment (maybe one at the roller rink) and no form of paper towels or sprays to at least allow you to clean between use. Not sure if I was more afraid of potentially getting lice or ringworm, but I tried to avoid touching anything with cloth while I was there. If you're a parent, consider bringing extra disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer. The bathrooms were not the cleanest but were fine if you're just washing your hands frequently. Not to mention, there were kids running amok throughout the establishment. Again, while it is to be expected, I was still a little concerned seeing there be a lack of parental supervision for a LOT of young kids (toddlers included). Not only is it dangerous for them, who likely don't know any better, but also for older teens and adults trying to avoid knocking them over when they disrupt games or recklessly run into people around the roller rink. While at the very least, most of the sports were fine to play (e.g. billiards, table tennis, volleyball, pickleball, etc.), when it came to the arcade... half the machines were broken. And even if they worked, then a third of those would have something wrong with it. At that point, you'd rather spend your money at Round 1 next door for arcade games and somewhat of a nicer experience. Moving on to the dining area... We did get thirsty after a while and, after noticing a pitcher of water at an empty table, we asked if we could order one as well. The staff (hiding behind the self-order kiosks, since you do not have the option to order at the register) let us know that a pitcher of water costs $8. Needless to say, consider eating and drinking before/after you come here (or just fork up a few extra dollars for a soda instead). Sure, you can say that you get what you pay for, but this place seems to have been going downhill for a while. The only person really working was the employee in a black button up checking us in and out at the counter. He was very courteous and efficient, but seemed pretty overworked. Not sure what things look like behind the scenes, but it doesn't seem like anyone else other than him really cared about the quality or reputation of this place. Overall, if you're looking for a place to kill 3 hours with a $30 budget, you've found it. If you keep your expectations low enough, it's honestly not that terrible of a spot to try different sports or get a little exercise in while having some semblance of fun. But, if you have the chance to avoid it, avoid it. Or instead, consider catching a movie at AMC or heading to Round 1 before it meets the same fate as Spo-Cha.

Even with a reservation, it was quite busy the day we went, so there was still a check-in process to go through at the front. That said, everything was organized and moved along reasonably well considering the crowd. I've been to another K1 Speed location before, and this one definitely feels newer and cleaner. The facility is well-maintained, and the helmets were in good condition with no unpleasant odors -- something I really appreciated. The overall environment felt safe and modern. We brought a child with us and asked if it was possible to group them with other kids. The staff was very accommodating and explained the different kart ranges available for younger drivers. They made sure everything was age-appropriate while still keeping the experience fun. As for the track itself, it was exciting and well-designed. The karts were responsive, and the layout had enough turns and straightaways to keep things engaging without feeling overwhelming. Overall, a fun and energetic experience -- especially great for families -- and I'd definitely consider coming back again.

Waiting 30 minutes for a pretzel and onion rings sucks, it especially sucks when the onion rings taste horrible and look just as bad. Install a notification system, minus 1 star. Waiting an hour and a half to ride is fine. Not being able to leave is the problem. Its 2026 and you can't have a push notification system for guest....maybe its better with a reservation but living over an hour away and with California's traffic its not something that can be guaranteed for some. It wouldn't be fair to not review the actual thing people come here for. The racing is fun and exciting. Course is done well. Plus 1 star.
