The employees I feel so little things for the individuals they serve to make sure they are treated with dignity and respect. Joy is the head nurse and she also does a great job. It is about team building and making sure new ideas are brought up to make sure residents are loved and cared for. I am so glad my mother in law care coordinator recommend to check out Gracewood when I was told there might be an open bed. They are very much about team approach.

The staff is like a family who are looking out and always interested but also give mom respect and privacy. She has had a variety of ups and downs and everyone including the house manager, the nurse and the staff all are honest and kind with me to keep me informed and connected even when I can't be with Mom as much as I wish. All the staff seem to really like the residents and visit and chit chat when they can. I am so appreciative that I am never "nickel and dimed" for all the little things like someone helping Mom to get dressed sometimes or doing a quick coat of paint on her nails. The building smells good and is decorated for seasons and holidays. It is relatively small which we all like so that Mom can stay active and have some freedom even though her dementia is significant. Her geriatrician visited and made a house call and was very impressed at how well rooms and overall layout were designed to accommodate the needs of elderly and ability to integrate different levels of cognitive and physical abilities together. Thank God everyone realized and saw what they were doing and my mom is safe and out of there and I see her every single day. They purposely kept me from my mom. They are cruel, heartless, and I wonder how they sleep at night. There are a few nice staff, but most are 2-faced and lie. My mom is no longer being held hostage in their homes. I could give you graphic details and pictures but it's not worth it. They are not worth my time. Thank God everyone saw through the lies and got my mom out safely. Their doctor is worthless and doesn't have a clue how to do his job. Seriously, keep your loved one far away from this company. In the house my mom was in one resident died, then another one died shortly after, then my mom rushed to the ER. I started to fear something fishy was going on. The RN has zero personality and gives you zero confidence in her abilities. I could go on and on but I have said enough. Beware: If you report them to MDH or MAARC, the President will keep you from your family member. I am thankful for Ulissa, Ace, Ann, and Brooklyn. I certainly hope the 4 of you move on to a more reputable company and realize the terrible company you work for. It's a cult-like facility and actually scary. It's an absolute shit show. So glad my mom escaped their cult-like prison safely. They actually told me that Red Robin would be her home permanently. Then they pulled a stunt saying it would be shut down and moved her to the more expensive house to steal her money. The other house never shut down and the other 2 residents my mom lived with still live there. They wanted my mom's money. Thank you to the Guardian and the Ombudsman. You saw their true colors. My mom is free and safe and I get to love on her non-stop. The staff at her new facility are amazing and so understanding and loving. Night and Day Difference! Stay away please!

My grandmother went in to assisted living due to limited mobility, she was in good health otherwise needing only one prescription for Cholesterol but within one year they had her full of drugs and completely bedridden. (That is their way of dealing with residents who are too demanding). Our concerns were brushed off and blamed on grandma, even though we had proof of neglect and over medication. I assumed they are regulated the same as nursing homes but they are not, I cannot change what happened to grandma now but please do not bring your loved one here.

The reason I bring them down to 3 stars is how two things transpired after we mentioned we'd be moving out: 1. I was at the apartment many times that final month helping with the move, and on 3 separate occasions the staff was inside the apartment poking around, unannounced. These were not caretakers doing well-being checks, rather it was administrative personnel. My mom had mentioned she did not feel secure there with her valuables and some of their staff. I had initially thought she was just being paranoid but this validated her concerns and made me uneasy. 2. I felt taken advantage of with the security deposit. There were 2 stains that were not huge or out of the ordinary. When I spoke to the maintenance guy about other things like touch-up paint he said "you don't have to worry about things like that here", making it sound like all was well. He and the director were whispering over near where the stain was, not disclosing how that was so major to them. Then upon moving out they said those 2 small stains would be $1200. I said that I could have professionals come by and remove it for a fraction of that and they said no, they had already tried a steam clean. Really? and those stains didn't come out? I asked why so much and they said that they ran out of that carpet so they'd have to re-carpet the entire apartment. How that is our fault is beyond me. It all just felt slimy and low-brow.
