Usually full on Fridays and Saturdays (not hard since there's room for around 25 people max inside) so book if you want to go! Food is lovely, tapas style, a mix of italian, spanish and turkish. Prices have gone up since it opened but it is still very reasonable indeed. Perhaps best of all it's bring your own bottle in the evenings, keeping the cost down even more! The portions are generous and it's evident that the ingredients are of the highest quality and the chefs are indeed very skilled. Another plus is that the Dilraj are always willing to accommodate requests that aren't on the menu - nothing seems too much trouble. There are half portions available for children (or sometimes pensioners) there are lower-fat healthy options for those watching their weight (although I don't have first hand experience in this!) and there's the 'Apna' option for connoisseur diners who realise a lot of eastern cuisine is tailored for the western market and who want to try a style of cooking that's a lot more in keeping to 'home'. Our family have been far and wide to many different eating establishments and we all agreed ages ago to stop looking for anything better because there isn't! If finances allowed, we'd spend a lot more time here for sure. I recommend it to everyone whole heartedly.

It is new and very clean with modern decor, nicely done but slightly cold & hard for my taste but the ceiling is effective. It was unsurprisingly busy on the night but all seemed to be running smoothly and efficiently. An interesting menu with quite a few new choices. The service was very good, a reasonable wait before our order was taken and also between courses. The starters were well above average and you could see that an extra effort had been made in the quality and presentation. The main courses we chose were off the Specialities list all appeared individualy cooked and not derived from a standard curry pot. My chicken and vegetable dish was excellent, hot & tasty, containing a varied selection vegetables. The family confirmed that their main courses were also very good. We had no complaints with any of the accompanying rice or nans and the pillau rices was particularly good. Based on my experience it is certainly better than I was expecting, indded better than most of the competition but to survive it has to be. It reminds me of the short lived Delhi Eatery, that too was excellent but somehow didn't manage to capture the vibe and subsequent trade, it would be a big pity if Azka went the same way.
