    Cinnamon French toast meal

Large portions and a diverse menu. The BBQ sandwiches have enough meat on them to make two normal sandwiches. Stuffed French toast is regularly on the special menu. The fillings are often seasonal. I am looking forward to the pumpkin. Take time to scan the walls. There are additional items listed. It can be very busy in the summer, so expect a wait. The owner and staff are excellent, which has to be difficult they are always busy. The wait staff recognize us and know we are going to want the flavored coffee. They even make us a fresh pot.

Visited Lake City for a week and ate here every day. Good coffee, food and service. Big portions. Great bacon! Friendly staff. A community gathering place. Love it! Warning, it takes two people to eat their cinnamon roll (and it was yummy). I highly recommend it.

This is a review for the previous owners ... ......... After our trip to Mackinac Island, the GF's family and I stayed up north in Lake City, Michigan where her folks have a camper on a lake. Jet skis and a pontoon on a lake - what more can you ask for during the summer? This was actually my second trip out to Lake City and while there aren't many culinary options in Lake City, I was excited about getting breakfast at the Coffee Cup, which has the hugest pancakes I have ever seen. In fact, I tried to take down three of these bad boys, but I could only get down two and a half of them (granted I had some bacon on the side!). Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes ($3.45 for 2 / $4.15 for 3) If you don't think three pancakes are much - just take a look at how the pancakes spill over the plate. The GF went with two of the blueberry buttermilk pancakes, of which I ate one. They were thick, yet fluffy as well. Purely delicious. Porker Omelet ($7.95) Ham, bacon, sausage, hashed browns, cheese, sausage gravy Now I was really excited to come back to the Coffee Cup for the porker omelet. I mean come on, I am the Belly of the Pig. In fact, the first time I came here, I had a hard time determining whether to go with the huge pancakes or this calorie-ridden monstrosity. This was a huge omelet with crisp ham and bacon, all folded in with hashed browns and cheese. It's all topped with homemade sausage gravy which was not overly salted, which I appreciated. It also comes with two slices of buttered toast - talk about eating all of your daily calories in one sitting. The Coffee Cup isn't fine dining. But then again that's not what you're looking for. It's good home cooked meals at an incredibly affordable price. I mean seriously - did you see the prices? If this was in Philly, I would easily pay twice as much. Service is always friendly with a smile as well. I can't wait to return to Lake City next year!

Display cases full of a large variety of beautiful pastries. Lots of breads and local goods (honey, maple syrup, knitted goods and store merch) for sale. EXCELLENT FOOD. Both times we've loved what we've gotten. You want a true, properly made croissant? Go here, you won't be disappointed. Coffee was made perfectly to order. I will say the lady at the counter isn't the most friendly, but it's not like she was rude either. Guess not everyone is bubbly and happy - it certainly wasn't bad service, just not the warmth I personally expect from a small business like that. But all in all, we love the place and will definitely be back next time we're up that way.

Stellar bakery; definitely 5-stars; wish we could give more…read more Passing through on our fall color tour, we looking for a lunch spot and found good reviews on this bakery. It exceeded expectations in all regards. The old building is gorgeous; that ceiling!! Good seating for a smaller cafe. Very comfortable, casual and clean. Though the pastries looked amazing, we opted for lunch. My husband ordered a lamb patty melt on homemade sourdough and tomatoes bisque soup. I ordered a grilled cheese with ham and a bowl of Tuscan soup. The portions were generous, especially for the soups. They were hearty, flavorful and healthy. Lots of veggies and wonderful spices. Our sandwiches were excellent. Everything had that made-by-hand feel. Before leaving, we grabbed a day old blueberry cheese croissant which was so tasty; not too sweet, creamy and melt in our mouth soft. Yum! The staff were kind and helpful. Prices were fair. Woah we lived in the area. This bakery would be a regular stop for breakfast, lunch, sweet treats and homemade loaves of bread. What a gem in this small community.
