We were setting up a Dollar General in nearby Cliffton. We arrived late in the evening around 9pm after working a full day then driving 6 hours. The girl working the desk was very nice and helpful with directions and where we could eat at the late hour. Got in our room. Nice large room. Refrigerator and micro wave worked well. Nice big bathroom and sink area. Flat screen tv was good size and the beds were very comfortable. The building from the outside is dated....with soul. The inside the part that counts...is updated, clean and comfortable. Everything worked. My review is for 2 rooms because we checked out after 3 night's and the company had to book us another night because of a problem at the store....... and the staff once again were great even when we over slept and kinda of pushed the checkout time. I only gave 4 stars because...though they do have a breakfast...it is for sure a grab and go affair. With an improved breakfast an easy 5 stars.

The office personnel was courteous and professional. It was refreshing to check-in to a motel, in the middle of nowhere, and have such service. My room was and continued to be extremely clean, throughout my stay(Due to some personal/business matters, I had to stay additional nights.). I enjoyed the picnic benches and relaxing scenery/atmosphere, in the back of the hotel. Some mornings, I would see one of the office personnel, rake the rocks/gravel of the entire parking lot. Due to my work related experiences, I asked if it was therapeutic. She informed me, it was to spread the rocks and pick up any potential hazards(screws/etc.., accidentally dropped by workers[guests], etc...). I praised the appearance of the entire parking lot, but mostly the service provided by the office and housekeeping personnel.

Disappointed in my stay here this week…read more Our client recommended this as the place to stay in town, so we did. Here are some things that went well and others that need improvement. What went well: - safe location right off highway 70 - adequate and free parking - breakfast starts before 6 am, and it includes healthy options like fruit and oatmeal - bed in room was comfortable and there was a good desk with lighting What needs to improve: - water pressure is inconsistent, so toilets don't flush properly and showers have a mind of their own - please clean the room properly: there were muddy boot marks on the ottoman - please add a safe to the room - please add teabags to the coffee service in the room Pro tip: If you're here at the recommendation of a client, call the hotel directly and make your booking. You'll save a lot of money. In my case, I paid $369 per night for two nights when I could have paid $179 per night. Total bill was over $840 after taxes and fees. I've paid less for good properties in large metros on both coasts! Will likely be back as they seem to be the best option in town (for now, at least).

The Manager lady was well aware that it was late and we were hours away from the nearest hotel so we had no where to go. She basically strongarmed me into paying for an extra room I did NOT NEED or RESERVE! Our rooms were over 90 degrees and when i asked her to please turn the air on, she SCREAMED at me for not 'wearing my mask" (as if I could breathe with how incredibly hot & stuffy it wasI) and told me to check out if I didnt like it. I told her id be happy to check out with a full refund as we had only been there 1 hour. She refused my offer to leave with my money and then BLASTED the air conditioner (which i liked) until it was so cold we all froze all night. Again, we have a baby with us, it's after 8pm and we are hours from the nearest other hotel and have been driving ALL DAY (5 HRS). This place is RACHET & the owner or whoever she is, is THE RUDEST, most disrespectful & entitled person on the planet!!! There were spider webs EVERYWHERE & obvious the sheets had not been changed. It was so dusty that we couldn't breath or take our clothes out of our bag! Myself & my family have stayed here about 4 to 5 times in the past.. Never a good experience, but NEVER THIS BAD!!! IM APPALLED at Debbie or whatever her name is rudeness and bad attitude!!!! Too bad this is the ONLY B&B / HOTEL in a 45 mile area.. We will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!! Stay in Safford or Lordsburg!!!

Mogollon is a treasure-trove for people who like history and beautiful scenery and the jewel of Mogollon is the Silver Creek Inn. We stayed there two nights (October 17 & 18) and the experience was wonderful. This old and very historic building was built around 1885 and originally served as a store. It eventually became vacated and sat empty for a number of years until the new owner (Stan) bought it and with the help of a few compadres, restored and converted it into an inn. I can't even imagine the amount of work it took, but they did an outstanding job. My wife and I stayed upstairs in a large and very comfortable room on the northeast corner. The adjoining bathroom was beautifully done and offered me a shower that was easy to step into and out of. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet offering a great view off of a balcony having a second set of stairs if one wanted to go to the ground floor. Adjoining our room was a library having a lot of shelves and books and a very cool moving ladder that can travel across the front of the selves. The library also has a very beautiful coffee table and more books are kept there having stories about the people who came to Mogollon years ago to find their fortunes in or earn a living in the mines that are in the surrounding area. Our host, Susie was the highlight of our trip up here and worth the long drive just for the pleasure to visit with her. She runs a tight ship and i am glad that after all these years and trips of visiting Mogollon, that I was finally able to spend several nights in this interesting ghost town and this really nice inn.

The rooms are updated, modern, and spotless. The staff are very polite and helpful. The workout room is adequate as are the pool and the breakfast. The only glaring issue is that the room keys struggle to work thanks to a dated system. It's not fun to go up and down from the third floor to the lobby three times in a desperate attempt to get either room key to work!! That's quite disconcerting and probably the sole reason I would never stay here again. I'll just go back over to the Best Western a few blocks to the west because their room keys always work.
