While exploring the new building of UP Town Center, we came across the charming Clean Plate. From its name we gathered it was another organic/ farm-to-table concept and we were pleasantly surprised to find that it didn't have the usual ridiculous prices attached to eating healthily! In fact, they had completely decent offerings of single serving dishes at less than 250 pesos. I ordered the mushroom soup in goat's milk and was satisfied with the fresh, creamy taste and generous pieces of mushroom in my bowl. My daughter attacked the freshly-baked baguette that came with it, too. We also ordered their mini taquitos, which were open faced fried chips with salsa and meat. These appetizers were most memorable for us. I had some of the lengua, which was really delicious, but obviously a solo portion. It didn't come too expensively but the server said it was good enough for sharing when it wasn't. I would definitely recommend this though, not as sinful especially when you have it with some red rice! read more
