I have been a customer here for 3 years now through 2 different barbers. The first barber, from my impression, moved to a different shop. He had good artistry as a barber, but lacked professionalism. He would show up late to appointments with the latest being 20 minutes after stated start time, become easily distracted to talk to co-workers, and did not keep a clean work environment. After he left, I decided to switch barbers with Jordan Ortega. At first, my appointments with Jordan were positive in all the aspects the prior barber lacked. Throughout our appointments, he lost the qualities I would expect from someone I'm paying 40$ for a 30-minute service. My last appointment with him was at 8 A.M., so it is fair to be late and I acknowledge this. The reason he was late was for an accident on I-30 which I also encountered and also caused me to be late by 5 minutes. Instead, Jordan was late by 15 minutes cutting into half of the appointment. When he arrived, he apologized and I did not think much of it since he did also text me beforehand to let me know. Later-on, I was clear with my haircut instructions requesting a mid-fade with guarding going from 0 to a 2. Throughout the haircut, he kept being interrupted by the owner to talk about a new project he was taking on. Because of this interruption, Jordan did end up making mistakes on my haircut and presumably caused my mid-fade to turn into a high fade. When I asked if he could fix it, he refused stating, "I can do it, but you won't like how it turns out." Although I was not happy with the turnout, I did not pushback on his refusal and instead paid full-price for a half-done, late haircut. From Jordan's demeanor whilst I was paying, he was standoff-ish which I can only assume was from my apparent dissatisfaction. Overall, the location's environment is very open, welcoming, and receptive to customers. I have noticed a pattern of complaining among the workers. In Jordan's case, voicing a dream to work full-time streaming himself playing games is fine, but it can leave a bad impression when he's paid 80$ an hour in an air conditioned environment to intermittently screw around with co-workers. I would not recommend this location if a new customer is looking for professionalism and if you expect your money to get you the same haircut/experience every time. read more

Anyway.. we went to get my son a haircut because he's going to homecoming and he's been trying to grow his hair from bald shaving it so it really is looking like a mess. Though my son is trying to grow his hair to have a mullet, I also can't stand how crazy it looks like. So we went in made appointment w Angel. Everyone in the shop is super nice, friendly and welcoming. Angel made my son very comfortable and made sure he wouldn't cut too much but just cleaning it up. He definitely did a great job. I really wanted to like this place since George was the best rated barber here in Fort Worth. Sadly, I over paid for a harsh job. I say harsh because my face has cuts on both sides and I have to go to a wedding today with this. It didn't help that he left multiple times to text. I get that you have to respond to things but if you are paying $45 plus tip you expect to have a job with minimal interruptions. I know reviews like this won't be taken serious without proof so I'll share photos. Would also note that I didn't ask for the black spray on beard liner but was given it and it was a bit patchy as you can sew from the pictures. The price was for a cut, beard line up and eye brows shaped. The eyebrow job wasn't good because he didn't even do the middle of the brows. George The Classic Barber is a fantastic place to get your hair cut. I come home to Fort Worth in the summers and I've been looking for a solid barber for 3 years now. I typically get a medium fade/bald fade with a clipper on top. He's the only one that I've been to around here that does a really good job for a competitive price (even offers a military discount). A lot of the places that I've been to charge upwards of $35 and their work definitely does not warrant their prices. I got an appointment with George within the same day and I walked out of there feeling satisfied that I finally found a barber that I want to come back to. I found them on Yelp, they're less than 2 miles away... problem is they close at 7pm and it's 6:45pm now and my procrastination self waited to nearly the last minute to get my gnarly looking hair cut before the morning meeting with the boss at my new job. One of the most regrettable haircut experiences ever. Even from waking in the vibe was off as almost every barber just stared at me for a second before shooting me looks. Thankfully the barber I had an appointment with seemed more friendly. I asked for a taper fade and it was near the end my barber said "oh yeah you're gonna comb it to the right, right?" deciding how I have to wear my hair without asking me first. I told him no I comb it forward then he called another barber to me and had her "redo" my styling so it can be worn forward, how I wanted it to be, and you can distinctly see that my haircut is uneven. During a good majority of the appointment he was distracted on his phone even leaving the hot towel on my face for way too long because of whatever he was watching. Only spoke to me when absolutely necessary. Never really felt like he cared how my haircut turned out. I would come back and ask to have my haircut fixed but honestly with the looks I was shot when I entered I'd rather just not experience that again. Oh and the website prices are just irrelevant because each barber is going to up charge you more once you book with them through their booking site. read more

I don't just let anyone cut my hair, as I've had bad experiences. I saw that he had photos from his previous cuts as well as current clients.
