It's in a great location and has some history to it, but "quaint" only goes so far. The rooms (at…read moreleast mine) need a serious facelift. The mattress and bedding were inferior. No bottled water. No minibar. No shower gel, just bar soap. No slippers. A TV remote that has options like Netflix but it isn't offered. Lousy coffee (only one kind) with only powdered milk. No slippers. No pen/paper. Etc., etc.

Now it is dusty and musty: the shine is no more here. The wallpaper in my suite was coming loose, pink grime and dust on the bathroom grout and corners, unpleasant odor from the toilet plumbing, and unappealing breakfast! The TV remote and channels were from decades past. The lukewarm scrambled egg made from powder, heated frozen sausage patties and potatoes not quite warm enough, and some unappealing muffins and doughnut-looking baked goods...I didn't stop to inspect further. Old is okay but unclean is not. Simple food is okay but poor quality food at improper temperature is not. A single fresh fruit is better than a mush blend of dissolving fruit. I thought I was treating myself by booking here.... Can you go buy some real food for tomorrow's breakfast? Please? Pros: Friendly staff, quick service, nice desk and lamps, comfortable furniture and plenty of space in the suite.

My frustration with the very slow…read moreservice on a Sunday night was relieved by the owner coming around with free garlicky olive oil bow tie pasta samples. My Godfather amaretti scotch cocktail was good. I can't really complain about the bread since it was free but wow was it super hard. It broke open with a thousand splinters everywhere and was overall just a way to pass the excessive amount of time between my courses. The terry's tomato salad was huge. Tons of tomatoes, carrot shreds, so much garlic it was almost spicy in a painful way but overall would be a great "salad" to share. The calamari had a flavorful garlic broth but was otherwise unremarkable. It came with two pita slices. The Fellini gnocchi with meatball was good. Moist juicy beef meatball atop creamy Gorgonzola tomato sauce and delicate squishy tasty gnocchi. Other than slow service not a bad meal.

The service at La Dolce Vita was good, which I appreciated. I ordered the veal with pasta. The veal itself was disappointing the breaded cutlet wasn't hot enough, so the cheese just sat on top instead of melting properly, which affected both the texture and overall flavor. The pasta (Pellegrino/Pellipe) was just okay, nothing particularly memorable. They did bring out a complimentary fruit plate at the end, which was a nice gesture.Overall, while the service was solid, the food didn't meet expectations. I'm still searching for a truly enjoyable dining experience in Cleveland.

This building is on the campus of Case Western Reserve University. It is an event space, holds some…read morecampus departments, and it also has a small food court in the main lobby (1st floor). I may have been inside this beautiful building before, last year (2018) when a church held a service here. I did visit again yesterday (5 March 2019) for a free Immigration Law lecture. I had to cancel a free Yelp Ice-Cream event to come to this Immigration discussion (yes, my career means a-lot to me)...haha. ENVIRONMENT -- This is an environmentally friendly building. It has been awarded with a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold status from the U.S. Green Building Council. STUDYING -- This building is actually opened 24 hours so students can stay up all night studying in here. You do need a Case student ID to enter between the hours of 11pm - 7am. There are tables and chairs on the main floor which is also where the food court is. This may not be a good area to get work done because it tends to get noisy but I'm sure after 9pm, it quiets down since the food court will be closed by then. There is free wifi as well so just connect to the network. I believe the network name is "Case" or something to that effect. Overall, the architecture of this building (both outside and inside) is awesome. Stop by and visit if you are in the area. Parking will be tough because the street parking will most likely be full but there is a parking lot nearby. *** - 43 total reviews in 2019 - 253 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 6 March 2019
