I am fed up paying $675/month on a raggedy vehicle and in the past 2 years of paying i have only paid $5800 on the car itself but overall I have paid $16,400. A $33,000 car. Applied for a personal loan of $21,000 three days ago but never received a response. It was only…read moreafter my repeated phone calls that I finally found out my application was pending. When I did speak to the loan officer, she tried to charge me a 15.54% interest rate, which I consider high for someone with excellent credit. I was not pleased with this outcome. Once again, a typical small community bank seemed to be taking advantage of customers by offering high rates based on market conditions. The loan officer, apparently inexperienced and lacking lending authority, likely needed to take the loan to a committee and tried to convince me to use a $65,000 automobile as collateral. I am disappointed with this bank. I do not recommend this financial institution.
