Sunshine with Chicken.

I was a little disappointed with this place. It has great potential but I felt that that food was a little bland. Also the staff was a bit lacking. The person taking orders did not seem like she wanted to be there.

This location is WAY better than Gateway. My salad was HUGE it was worth $13 this time! 3/4 of the way through I was getting full. The only downside is that they don't offer warming your protein in a separate pan on the grill to avoid cross contamination with Gluten. You are offered it cold or microwaved. I decided cold was a better choice. I pefer eating any meat cold than microwaving it even at home.

Healthy and very filling! Not "fast" food, but I'm fine with that since the quality is great. Just come with some time to spare. The food and place: I'm a mushroom soup lover, and get it whenever I have the chance since it's not frequently available at most places. But today was my lucky day because it was one of the daily soups at Chopped Leaf! The "wild mushroom chowder" was hot and fresh, with rice, celery, and a good amount of sliced mushroom. Really good! The Spicy chicken sandwich also had onions, mushrooms, cheddar, romaine, and came with an aioli dipping sauce. It was fabulous! Beautiful interior, with a rustic feel and lots of tables. Even has a small patio outside. I found the staff very friendly. How it works: -pick what you want off the menu boards -order and pay at the cashier -if it's "to go" you wait for your food to be passed over the counter near the door -if it's "to stay" you get a number that you display on your table, and your food will be brought over to you. -when you're done, you leave and they clear your table for you. Large menu, I'll have to come back to try more!

Been here 4 times now...4 times they have been out of their prawn salad rolls...or all salad rolls. Unbelievable way to run a buisness. What food I have been "lucky" enough to sample has been pretty good...but I can't see very far past their inventory issues. If you want their salad rolls..maybe call ahead...or try othef location in Sherwood Park!

A friend of mine asked me to try this place if I wanted to start eating healthy. Boy was I not disappointed, although it did take me awhile to understand their sizes or portions. Everything seems to be made fresh and the taste is great. The only thing that kinda twisted me off was the Thai soup, wasn't as spicy or tasty enough to remember my previous encounters of that good soup. Salad dishes are phenomenal as in they have a very diverse good taste, unforgettable for sure. Lots of greens to select from with made combos or you can substitute if you don't like some combos. I found it awesome to switch around some stuff but it may cost extra. Their iced water fruit drinks are fresh but bland probably because there is no sugar. Again eating healthy is probably the reason it tasted bland for me. Staff is friendly and parking is cramped in front due to other stores nearby, make sure to park behind the area much more space and you can enter through the back as well. Recommended for anyone looking to make better or healthier decisions for a quick fix.

This place is overpriced for what you get. I tried a salad and it was very bland and not very big. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Website is easy to navigate. I like the bread choices - wish they had a multigrain/one with lots of grit/seeds. Was sad to find out many items were not available - California Club, Broccoli Salad, Wicked Thai soup. All things I wanted to try. In my opinion if you can't offer it you should have a more reasonable menu that reduces disappointment (smaller menu?). I preordered at 2PM for pickup at 5:30PM knowing I would be there 5:15PM so it would be fresh. I arrived 5:20PM and it was all ready for pickup -how early it was made is debatable. As I expected bread was Super soggy and super squished. Salad toppings were already getting soggy. I got the Southwest Crunch salad $9.29 - better than I expected. I like the vinaigrette and I'm not a vinaigrette person. Lettuce was cut into great bite sized pieces and crisp. As mentioned, the Tortilla strips were already getting soggy. I got the The Dilbert on Whole Wheat $12.49 - Great flavor but with the bread being so soggy and flat it was a disappointment. The crust of the bread was really tasty and I wish the whole sandwich was that fluffy and tasty. Filling 10/10 - Bread killed it. I got the Club Press'd on rye $10.79- Same as the other bread super soggy and gross. Filling was fine but cheap with the lettuce - as you can see it was mostly white tasteless and rind. 6/10 for the filling. I also tried the Lean Green smoothie $5.79. Portion was as expected. Tasted great, very fresh and healthy. Overall was super disappointed and RECOMMEND only ordering fresh (not worth the $5 off).

I already miss it. While they never successfully had EV charging insofar as I understand it, everything else was good (if pricey) but they couldn't make the business work in the long run so it is no longer there and definitely no longer open.

I think even though there is a bit of driving from my place to this store, we will go back there again at least once a week! :) I highly recommend this location!

It was located completely romantic and filled with amazing food options. The food was DELICIOUS during the tasting and we knew we wouldn't be making a mistake booking them. Kim was extremely patient - kept communication with us, sending us all of the different estimates based on the options we had and amount of people we wanted. The wedding day- They were very professional, the food was equally as amazing as our food tasting. Our guests could not stop giving us compliments at our wedding! We ended up getting 3 meats (Sliced Roast Beef, Grilled chicken with mango salsa, and earl grey salmon) accompanied with 2 options of salads, 3 options of veggies, and two options of sides! It was the best meal we have ever had, and we wanted to have that experience for our wedding. The ladies from La Cena helped to serve dessert and helped rinse out dishes when we had completely forgot to arrange something for the situation. La Cena really made our wedding so much more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend them and definitely hire them for our future events!

They are primarily a caterer, but also offer pre-made meals that you can pick up and take home, as well as deli-type lunch options. A co-worker of mine goes every single Friday to get their Mac & Cheese. I tried it once, and although it was tasty, I would prefer it to be a little creamier. So now I tag along with her sometimes and work my way through the rest of their lunch time menu. Today I got their Chicken Ceasar wrap. I'm quite happy with it. The chicken is fresh (not processed) and the lettuce is crispy. I will say that the service is a little slow. I think that most of their staff focus on the catering and meal prep - but if it does get busy (which it does!), they come out and help up front if necessary. For lunch I had the wrap, a bowl of dill pickle soup and a cookie and the bill came to $13.13. Next time I plan to try one of their grilled sandwiches. I'll work on getting some pictures for the place too!

" Average overpriced sandwiches with fries "…read more Jon Smith Subs just opened in the space of the old Mucho Burrito on baseline Rd in Sherwood Park. The signs say " bring your big mouth " and " love local, eat delicious ". Turns out this is a Florida, USA-based small chain, so not much for local. The decor is basic planked woods with vinyl green and grey benches. You can smell a Whiff of grease from the fryers as you open the door. Wait, what? Yes, fryers! They sell French fries and poutine in a sandwich shop lol. First impressions remind me of What Mr Sub, which happens to be located across the street, used to be like 15 years ago. The subs here start at $7.95 for a small and go up to. Around $15 for the 12in. I wanted to try different sandwiches so I started out by ordering a small " triple deli classic " which comes with turkey, ham and roast beef - only to be told it only comes in the large format, really? Ah ok... so let's move on. I ordered a small montreal smoked beef ($7.95) and the small Italian Steak ($7.95) and had the choice of white or whole wheat bread. The sandwiches were extra small and thin - the smoked beef was barely 4 inches in lenght, while the steak was about right at a skinny 6 inches. The bread was small and chewy, nothing special. Definitively, there was not enough meat on the sandwiches and I don't get the branding that says bring a big mouthful, nah! The bun for the Italian steak was flat and arched making the meat look heaping but it was just an ok average portion for this type of froid beef-ish steak-ish meat. The Italian steak sandwich overall tasted very bland, the marinara was a sauce with nothing going for it. As for the steak meat, it appeared to be made of tiny ground/ strip beef-ish shreds of the supermarket precooked variety. The corned beef was shredded, very skimpy instead of it being stacked high and definitely lacked the montreal corned beef heaping full, big mouth sandwiches that come with such an appellation in Montreal. To my surprise they sell fries and poutine on the menu. I made one of the sandwiches a combo with a fountain drink and a small poutine ($5.95). For a minute I figured they might as well sell hot dogs and onion rings.... Ah but I'd rather get those giant hot dogs at the nearby Costco with a drink for $2... ah well... ideas ideas.:/ 15 minutes and $23 later; there was nothing special about this place - bland small and thus overpriced sandwiches, with fries - is my overall impression. Now that I have tried it; I will return to my good old Mr Sub across the street. #Next!

Everything is made fresh and brought out to your table. When we walked in around 12:20 on a wednesday afternoon, I was surprised to see that it was completely empty. We were greeted by a very nice man who took some time to go over a few of the more popular choices on the menu with us when we told him it was our first visit. Total was $29 for 2 combo meals. As mentioned, the sandwiches and fries were made fresh and brought out to us with a smile. I was really quite impressed with the subs - my cajun steak sub was nicely spicy, fresh bread, good flavours. My partner's cuban was very cheesy and tasty as well. The fries were delicious! The dining space is clean and uncluttered. There are a couple of booths and a few tables and it was quite comfortable to sit and eat our lunch. Because of the prices, I won't go often, but I will definitely be back!
