I asked for a doctor's note to excuse me from work for the next two days while I recover from my back injury. I was told the doctor was at lunch and assured that the note would be emailed to me. Three hours later, I still hadn't received anything, so I called to follow up. Again, I was told it would be sent shortly. Ironically, about a minute after that call, I received an email -- but it wasn't my doctor's note. It was a survey asking me to rate my experience. That pretty much summed up my experience. The lack of professionalism, communication, and follow-through from the front desk was extremely disappointing. When someone is injured and relying on your office for documentation needed for work, they shouldn't have to repeatedly chase it down. The doctor himself was great, which is unfortunate because the front desk experience is the reason I rated my visit a 1. At this point, I'm not even sure I'll return for my follow-up appointment and may choose to continue my care somewhere else.

We visited countless health care…read moreprofessionals, tried multiple treatments, and even went through rounds of prescription medications--all with no meaningful results. When we were referred to Dr. Ray, we were skeptical, especially since his office is an hour's drive each way. But desperation and hope pushed us to make the trip, and I'm so glad we did. Dr. Ray approached my wife's case with the kind of care and thoroughness we hadn't encountered before. After her initial tests and x-rays, he asked us to return later the same day--he wanted time to truly assess the complexity of her condition before proposing a treatment plan. That level of attention instantly won us over. He laid out a 25-week plan, medication-free, and spoke with confidence and compassion that gave us hope. We're now 17 weeks in, and the transformation is incredible. Her back pain is nearly gone, and the vertigo that once ruled her life is almost non-existent. With just 8 weeks to go, my wife is getting her life back--something we never thought possible. Thank you, Dr. Ray and your wonderful team, for stepping in where others couldn't. Your dedication and expertise have made all the difference in our lives.

Almost a year ago, a few months prior to giving birth to my son, I was in desperate need of relief from lower back pain. It was debilitating. We found Dr. Carlson through the Kaiser database of approved providers and my husband made us both an appointment about two months out since he was booked solid. My husband is a veteran with back pain as well and has been trying to convince me for years to see a chiropractor. Since I was in need of immediate relief we made a few appointments with another local chiropractor (who shall not be named) who was able to get us in right away (reflecting on this now, I believe his open availability was likely a sign of the lack of care to come). I didn't know any better at the time as this was my first experience so I excitedly attended my first appointment hoping for the best. I got to my appointment and there was no intake process really. I was told I couldn't do X-rays due to my pregnancy and to just tell him what hurt. Each of the times I went, my appointment lasted about 10 minutes and the same ineffective adjustment was done each time. I was left with no change to my quality of life. THEN..my appointment with Dr. Carlson came. I was praying things would be different with a new provider and boy was it. My initial appointment took slightly over an hour. Another gentleman, Dennis, evaluated me from head to toe. This evaluation itself took longer than all my appointments combined at the other place. Great! I could tell I was in good hands. I really appreciated the level of care and attention to detail with my concerns. Dr. Carlson did my adjustment after my evaluation and made it a point to get me on his busy schedule since I was pregnant and really needed his help. What a God send. I remember walking to my car after my appointment actually walking upright with no pain instead of my typical strained pregnant lady waddle. I felt relief for the first time in months and I actually cried tears of joy. I called my husband immediately and told him not to waste any more of our Kaiser approved chiro visits on the other place and told him he wouldn't regret waiting for his appointment with Dr. Carlson. He didn't. We have been doing regular follow-up visits since and my baby is now scheduled for his first adjustment next month. He will be 9 months old. Theres no one I'd trust more with his developmental care. Dr. Carlson has a "whole-istic" approach to wellness, as I call it, which looks at the whole individual on a physiological level. He suggests dietary supplements which complement chiropractic treatment and help the body heal itself. We have taken his recommended supplements and have noticed drastic changes to our well being and health overall. He really is a wealth of knowledge and we eagerly anticipate each follow-up appointment. Everyone who works there is extremely kind from the moment you walk in the door. In short, if you are unable to get an appointment right away it's for a reason. He's that good. And definitely worth the wait. You won't regret it. I truly hope you experience the level of relief we have.

I 100% regret going to this facility and spending $380 on an appointment where I felt scrutinized,…read moretalked down to, and ultimately left feeling like I had not been helped. I came into this appointment extremely vulnerable and genuinely open-minded. I brought approximately 14 pages of detailed information about my health history and everything I have been experiencing because I have spent the past several years trying to find answers. I have worked incredibly hard to advocate for myself and have tried many different approaches because traditional medicine has not been able to explain why I continue to feel the way I do. I was hoping that approaching my health from a different perspective would finally give me some direction. Instead, I left feeling completely misunderstood and unheard and in tears. At one point, after I apologized for being "such a case," the provider said, and I quote, "I wish I could put you in Palestine." I was already overwhelmed and emotional during the appointment, and that comment was extremely upsetting and inappropriate to me. Later, she apologized for being "crude" or "direct" and attributed it to being French. Regardless of how someone describes their communication style, I believe healthcare professionals have a responsibility to communicate with compassion, especially when someone is sitting in front of them in a vulnerable state asking for help and paying a lot of money for said help. I cried throughout much of the appointment and left with extremely puffy, red eyes. I have never felt so uncomfortable and emotionally overwhelmed during a healthcare appointment. I also left without any real answers. There were guesses about what might be contributing to my symptoms and a discussion about potential lab work, but I did not feel like I received a clear explanation or meaningful plan for moving forward. I was then encouraged to purchase additional supplements, including products branded through the practice, which added even more expense to an already very disappointing experience. What bothers me most is that I was genuinely excited to explore a different approach to my health. I went into this appointment believing that a holistic provider might finally offer a perspective that I had not received elsewhere. Unfortunately, this experience left me questioning whether I even want to pursue holistic medicine again, which is incredibly disappointing because I know people who have had wonderful experiences with this type of care. I understand that healthcare providers can be direct, and I understand that not every provider is going to be the right fit for every patient. But there is a difference between being direct and making a patient who has come to you for help feel small, judged, or unheard. I will not be returning to this facility, and based on my experience, I would encourage anyone considering an appointment to carefully research their options and make sure they feel confident that the provider they choose will approach their concerns with empathy and respect. No patient should leave a healthcare appointment feeling the way I did when I walked out of this one.
