Chocolate that left a bad taste.... I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent visit to the Chocolate Bar inside New York-New York Hotel & Casino during a trip to Las Vegas to celebrate my friend Tracy's birthday. This was Tracy's first visit to Las Vegas, and I specifically wanted her to experience your property because we originally met in New York City ten years ago. We were attending the NKOTB concert at your sister property, Park MGM, on Thursday evening and arrived at the Chocolate Bar around 6:00 PM for pre-show cocktails. After reviewing the menu, we were approached by a bartender named Irene. My friend asked a simple question about the difference between the Hershey's Chocolate Martini and the Hershey's Cream Chocolate Martini, specifically wanting to understand the taste profile between the two. Irene responded, "Haven't you ever had a martini before? They are all alcohol." When my friend clarified that she was asking about the taste difference between the regular and cream version, Irene replied, "Well obviously it has cream in it." We were both taken aback by the dismissive and condescending tone. In a hospitality city like Las Vegas--where guest experience is everything--this interaction was disappointing and unnecessary. Asking about menu items should never be met with sarcasm or attitude. We flagged down another bartender (whose name we unfortunately did not catch), and he was professional, helpful, and happy to answer our questions. Our drinks were enjoyable, and we appreciated his service. However, the initial interaction left a very poor impression during what was meant to be a special birthday celebration. I have long been a strong supporter of MGM properties and do significant business throughout the year. In 2025 alone, I booked over 20 stays for my company, not including the substantial spending in restaurants and bars across your properties. Because of that loyalty, this level of service was particularly concerning. Customer service should always be a top priority, especially given the premium pricing on the Strip. After the concert, we considered returning to the Chocolate Bar, but when we saw Irene was still working, we chose not to. That resulted in additional lost sales due to this experience. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and addressed appropriately. I would appreciate acknowledgment of this concern and any steps being taken to ensure guests receive the level of service expected at MGM properties. read more

When I'm in Las Vegas, I want a high end spirit: Johnny Walker Blue, maybe a good Scotch are you feelin' me Yelper? I'm with my wife and her sister and they love fun cocktails. I know just the place, The Chocolate Bar. The Chocolate is provided by Hershey. So let's get Chocolate Wasted! The bar isn't too big, maybe 10 seats tops. The bartender comes to us and I ordered three chocolate cocktails. He's painting the sides with chocolate, shaking different alcohol in his cocktail shaker, making dreams come true. When he pours the last drop into the cocktail glass? He adds a small chocolate candy bar to the drink. At this point I'm licking the glass like Scooby Doo getting ready to dive into a late night snack. Sooooo good! This is a fun little spot. There's no dancing. No music or lights. Delicious martinis and super friendly staff. We ordered the reese and the original martini. Both martinis were really good. However, the reese's one was a fan favorite. It was sweet with just the right amount of liquor. The server was very nice and a vibe. She struck up a great conversation and talked about Vegas. We'd definitely come back when in Vegas! read more

Located inside NYNY hotel and casino, this bar is right close to the M&M store. This place can be busy with only few stools however people come and go quick. Lots of martinis to choose from but I enjoyed their drinks a lot. My favorites are the Reese's, Hershey's and the coconut martini. Friendly bartenders, be careful when people hovers around you. Even though it's a small bar and inside the casino with a lot of people, somehow unsuspecting, unassuming couple pretended to be waiting while pickpocketed my cousins sling bag. Know it happened here because it's the only place we went before went back to the room. read more

If you are of drinking age and appreciate Hershey World but want alcohol involved as well? Then this is your spot. Located right inside the hotel close to Hershey World you will find this small bar. With maybe 8-10 bar stools at most this place may be busy/full pretty easily. We went at a time with almost no one there. Service was quick and bartender friendly. As you could expect from the name they offer speciality chocolate drinks (mostly chocolate martinis)! My wife got the Hershey's Kisses Martini while I grabbed the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Martini. Both were extremely tasty and well made. Due to them being dessert like I personally find this bar to be one cocktail and done type spot. Also due to being dessert I wouldn't pick this spot all the time either. It's a solid place to visit once a visit, maybe after dinner drinks best choice! I could see it being a cooler experience with a larger bar with more theming being a reason to make it even more worthy of visiting. Could raise it to 5 stars. read more

I wrote my first review here SIX years ago and it's no surprise, this place is still AMAZING. I visit this bar about 2 times each trip. The chocolate martinis can't be beat. They're decadent, strong, and allow me to drink my dessert. The bartenders are always awesome and I see the same ones each visit, so they must enjoy working there. This 5 star rating is here because of service alone. The bartenders tender Alain was on fire tonight. He was very attentive and interacted with a full bat with masterful skill. He made sure to keep engagement with everyone while continuing to make drinks. To be a strip venue the drinks were decently priced menu items were around $18. It was a cool little vibe. Drinks were good. I tried the Manhattan, and second wind. I would go back another time. read more

Went the Hershey's store and then came out and found this bar because I saw in the hotel magazine that they had a Resees cup Martini and I had to try it. They were very busy as a concert had just let out but they still took our order timely. The martini did not disappoint it was delicious. I didn't get many pictures because I was to enchanted with the peanut butter goodness in front of me! The bar area is small but it's the perfect spot to have a drink, located right next to the I love chocolate store full of peanut very chocolate you can imagine. The bartender was super sweet and made sure we had everything we needed before her shift ended. This is one that needs to be top of the to do list for your Vegas trip!! read more

I LOVE this place!! They have the best tasting, strong martinis. I've been here a few times. The Hershey's Kiss one is my favorite & each martini has a little candy surprise @ the bottom. It is a little pricey but it is inside of NYNY casino, on the strip and plus its a martini. They also serve other alcoholic beverages, if martini's aren't for you. Staff has always been friendly. Their hours stink as they're not open late. It's definitely worth stopping in if you're a Hershey lover and like martinis....You can always just grab one to try. You won't be disappointed! read more

The chocolate bar features chocolate martinis - what is not to like you get a pleasant drink and dessert at the same time. Less pleasant was the service which was incredibly rude if not hostile. Someone woke up and did not want to work last night. This applied to both servers. The first who completely forgot our order after taking it. Alas the chocolate and the martini side kicked in and I remembered how tasty and decadent a drink can be surrounded in chocolate ambiance. Ok, I'll start by saying nothing about this bar appealed to me. A chocolate cocktail just sounds like a stomach ache, but we decided to check it out. The bar is right in the casino and was quite busy, but they got to us as quick as the good. We both ordered the espresso martini and I was skeptical because I've found they can be very hit and miss, but these were so good! I can't recommend it enough if you're in NYNY. Not sure about their other drinks, but the espresso martinis were killer! read more

Every time we visit Las Vegas, we make a special trip to New York New York hotel to go to the Hershey's Chocolate Bar, located right beside the Hershey's store. Their menu has changed, but we realized that if we ask for our favorite Death by C dollars hocolate martini, the bartenders will make it for you. There is nothing like the first sip of that martini! They have several different chocolate flavored martinis on their menu. The bar is not very big but you can get your drink to go if it's too crowded. Also, there's usually a line but the wait is not very long. Years ago, this place became a tradition every trip to Vegas and I'm sure it will continue! read more

Unique and delicious martini with fast service. It is definitely something to do that you won't find elsewhere and given how strong the drinks are, you can definitely justify the $18. I love sweet cocktails drinks and this hits the spot! My favorite drink is the chocolate caramel martini though I also tried the signatire choc martini and choc coconut martini. They are all good but I kept on goin back to my favorite. Just a few seats at the bar but people don't usually stay long there (maybe get a drink or 2) so it's easy to grab seats. You can also stand there is a table near the bar where you can put down your drink. Always a good time here. You won't get disapponted if you have a sweet tooth like me. read more

Used to be every year, but haven't been there in almost four years. Never a disappointment, this year's best (for me) was the Raspberry Chocolate Martini. Our bartender, Jason, put on a show of mixing the various Martinis. Like peanut butter .. they've got one. Or, how about coconut. We had the best time at this bar. We got the chocolate coconut and the Reese's peanut butter martinis. Both were excellent with a hefty pour and absolutely delicious. They had a chocolate rim with chocolate syrup drizzled on the inside of the cup. They were so good you didn't even taste the alcohol (which can be dangerous). The bartenders were friendly and gave us great tips for our stay in Vegas. The actual location wasn't anything special but it was cozy and the chairs were comfortable. Tip: you can ask to have your drink put in a to-go cup so you can take it with you and walk around. read more

This is was on the list!! We had to go and we were not disappointed. Jason is awesome btw such a nice guy. The drinks were amazing. I would only suggest not snacking on the candies until after you have the drinks..they are too sweet and throw the taste of the drink off. We got the caramel martini (can't remember what it was called) and the raspberry martini. YUMMMY It is located in back of the Hershey's shop in the casino. This place has been our favorite since we've been coming to Las Vegas. We love the drinks and most of the bartenders but this past weekend on may 4th we had a bad experience with our 2nd round of drinks they were water downed and mine was supposed to have been a coconut martini but tasted like watered down milk. There was a change of bartenders can't remember the female bartenders name but she was rude to my party and to myself when she remade my drink. She definitely looked high when she started her shift. We spend a lot of money at that bar but we all decided to leave we were a party of 15. Well there went the hers Hershey's bar sale of hundreds slip thru fingers due to bad attitude on the part of the bartender. Not sure if we will be returning to that particular bar. read more

The Chocolate Bar is located in the casino, directly next to the Hershey's merchandise store. It's a a tiny bar and all you need to do is find an open spot. Nothing about it looks overtly Hershey's themed, so it just looks like a normal bar. I wanted to check it out because I had a myVegas reward for a free shot. This offer is good for one jolly rancher shot and they had a few flavors. I also got a martini to-go (because when in Vegas, getting a drink to-go is no big deal). I got the Signature Kisses Chocolate Martini. It was delicious and strong. The service was also friendly. When in Vegas, make this quick stop if you love chocolate, Baileys drinks. read more

SO DECADENT! After playing on the Willy Wonka slot machine nearby, I was craving something with chocolate. I headed to the bar and ordered a coconut chocolate martini. They can make it in a glass martini glass, or a plastic cup to go. My drink was absolutely delicious! When I was halfway done with my drink I realized there was a whole almond joy on my stir stick! What a fun surprise. I highly recommend this for any chocolate fans. read more

There is a second secret bar that wasn't open when we were there, but from what I understand you use clues from the objects to gain access. The drinks were ok but nothing spectacular, they were also a little on the pricey side for what you get. They had a limited selection of non-alcoholic drinks and upon asking if I could get one of their featured drinks in a NA version, the bartender seemed like he was being put out by the request. He made it, but the drink I got didn't really have any of the flavors described. If you are waiting for a tee time at Twilight Zone mini golf maybe you could stop in, though honestly I would probably just go to the bar down the hall by the food court.

Went up ready to order and the bartender asked where we were seated and said a waitress would come by and that we couldn't order with him. We sat, we waited 15-20 mins and no one came around. We waited long enough and decided it wasn't worth our money. If trying to get an order in was this difficult, can't imagine what the rest of the service is like.

Paisley was a delight to chat with as we waited for only 10 minutes while seats opened up for us at the bar. I also got to check out the restroom, which boasts a high tech toilet with automated opening/flushing and a heated seat! We had the pleasure of meeting Michael our bartender and Yesi the bartender apprentice, and regulars Bill and Kim from Texas on one side of us, and Mario from California on the other as we spent the next hour and half savoring one luxury cocktail each and some complimentary snacks (seasoned pistachio nuts, cheesy crackers, and a little amazing bite that I can't remember the ingredients of). Welcome complimentary drinks: "Key to my heart" -- fun little rum drinks to start off with served in a spherical black case surrounded by dry ice! (See video). A bit sweet for my taste but tasty and just a little shot's worth (to be sipped). Cocktails: La Vie En Rose: (5/5) Rose infused gin, house made strawberry infused sweet vermouth, aperol, orange essence. Gorgeous spherical ice cube with a real flower frozen inside). Described as a summer Negroni. I chose it because I love Negronis and am always up for trying a variation on a classic like that. The Fountain (5/5): bourbon, Punt e mes vermouth (55 year old bottle!), orange essence. The Vault's take on the classic Manhattan. Michael gave us a taste of the punt e mes sweet vermouth and it was sublime. Both spectacular cocktails were definitely made for sipping and savoring. And to top it off! The only hint I'll give is that it's located on the casino floor. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess. She asked us if we had reservations or were walking in. I really appreciated this because the way she phrased her question told me they had availability and we would be granted entry. The bar is very small and seats about 30. Reservations are strongly encouraged, however we went on a Monday in February. If you're going on a weeknight during off peak season, you should be okay without a reservation. The hostess gave us the option of sitting at the bar or at a table. We asked her for her rec and she said the bar so that's what we chose. The decor is beautiful. The ambiance is dark and moody. It's perfect for a date night. We were greeted by both bartenders. I believe the bartender that made our drinks was Rory. He was very nice and knowledgeable about cocktails. He was able to answer our questions and make suggestions based on our preferences. As we browsed the menu, we were presented with welcome drinks in a fancy smoky container. I don't recall the name of the drink, but it had a lychee flavor with a sugar rim and it was good! Drinks are extremely pricey which is to be expected in Vegas. It's also on par based on where the speakeasy is located (hint hint). The cheapest cocktail was $30 so prepare yourself for the sticker shock. Some drinks were $80-$100! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I went with the Velvet Moon which was an interesting cocktail consisting of both gin and mezcal. It had flavors of hibiscus and it also had egg white which I absolutely love! The presentation was beautiful and I really enjoyed it! My friend went with the Basilico Bliss which he enjoyed. I didn't try any, but it looked really good. As we were enjoying our drinks, the staff presented us with savory bar snacks. They were tasty and were a perfect compliment to our cocktails. They do have food on the menu, but we had already eaten so we stuck with our complimentary snacks. As we were closing out, the staff presented us with a complimentary mini dessert. Rory described it as a Carajillo Jello shot. I don't like jello (I hate the texture), but I do love Carajillos. My friend does not drink coffee and does not like coffee flavor, so I ate both of them. They were so delicious (but the texture was off putting lol). I typically don't mention the restrooms in my reviews, but this one is worth mentioning. All I have to say is heated seats with a bidet! We really enjoyed our visit. Had the drinks not been so pricey, we probably would have stayed longer. If you enjoy speakeasies and/or craft cocktails, go have a drink at The Vault! The experience alone is worth it!
