Overall the cut wasn't good, and was charged 35$, way too expensive for a bad haircut. If he did a good job then it could be justifiable. No lineup or anything, so crazy it was that much. Maybe the quality varies per barber, mine was Calvin.

Freddy completely misheard/misunderstood me, and thought I said 3 to 4 inches. He didn't even bother to double-check or verify before hacking off hair. By the time I noticed, it was too late. My hair is now so short that I can't even style it anymore. Because the top was beyond repair, I tried to ask him to just square off the sides for a more fitting shape, but he couldn't even understand what I was saying. I ended up having to schedule an appointment with a different barber elsewhere to fix the shape. I was planning to re-perm my hair in a month, but now it's going to be 5-6 months before I'll have enough hair again. The absolute worst part was the customer service. When I went back to ask for a refund, Freddy had an attitude like it was my fault that he misheard my request. In fact, I wasn't even going to write this review originally, but the attitude was what set me off. Freddy, if you're reading this, you need to learn to double-check how much people want taken off the top. At other barbershops, they usually pull the hair up between the fingers to visually show the client and confirm how much length is coming off. I can't speak for the other barbers at this shop, but I would not recommend going to Freddy unless you want to risk getting a botched haircut because of a language barrier.

I get my hair cut by Si, who is one of the shop owners. He does a great job. I am in and out of there in ~25 minutes, but he does a great job and is a good technician with the clippers and does an excellent fade. I do not feel like he is rushing or in a hurry, just a very good barber. My wife is always happy with the results, so what more could I ask for? They do walk-ins, but I recommend reserving an appointment.

Located in the North Loop, it is right off the 394 exit ramp and there is plenty of parking nearby. Their time slots are 45 minutes so the barbers are not under pressure to get you in and out in 30 minutes. My barber was a really nice guy. Joe is an excellent barber who knows how to do it right. I moved away a few years ago but still see Joe for a haircut when I'm in town about 6 times per year. He really took the time to figure out what I wanted on my first cut and if I want to try out something different - is receptive to that. I also notice that Mr. B cuts a lot of different hair types and styles (I walk past his shop everyday). He is located in the skyway level of the Alliance Bank Center.
