There was a plethora of finds to be browsed and purchased here, from candles to customized hats, jewelry, and clothing and more. The ladies were welcoming and greeted me and my PIC immediately upon entering. On a seemingly quiet Friday afternoon the inside was hopping with folks both upstairs and downstairs. My friend and I shopped here on a Saturday night around 8:30, as there are extended holiday hours. Unfortunately, there were only 2 registers open! Despite the number of employees assisting a woman carrying out here huge load of purchases and other employees loitering around the registers, still only 2 open. We waited for well over 10 minutes before checking out. That being said the cashier accidently gave us 30% off instead of 20%, so that was a plus.

The mall has undergone a few changes since living in Victoria all those years ago. They took out…read morethe gazebo area, which was my favorite, and laid down carpet. What happened to all the planters? Bummer! In spite of the changes for the worse, I still shop here: Dillard's, JC Penney's, and Best Buy to name a few. Recently, my mother and I ate at Casa Ole, a franchise a friend from church formerly owned. Not sure when they remodeled, but the new decor took some adjustment. Life happens, and things change. Don't let that deter you from shopping at the Victoria Mall.
