Do you ever wonder where people bought toys before such behemoths like Toys 'R' Us and their stupid little giraffe ruled the market? Well, they bought them from Argos, probably. But, before that, people would buy them from quaint little toy shops, just like The Cherry Tree in Southport.
The shop itself is pretty small, but even the window displays are pretty to look at as they have a variety of different toys of all shapes and sizes looking out at you. They have a decent mixture of old-fashioned toys like pop guns and sheriff badges and more contemporary toys such as building blocks and dolls.
Their focus is more on traditional toys than the new, shiny, noisy ones so if you're looking for a Megazord or a Buzz Lightyear doll then look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a beautifully crafted toy for a little one then The Cherry Tree is worth checking out. You can order online, too. read more
