I have worked in the collections field for 25 years of my life. I know how thos process w9rks. I set up payments with Miley when my brother was in daily and suddenly passed away, I didn't remember doing this. I called in Feb 2026 asked that she stop the $100/mo. Payments and put me on a temp. Payment plan for 3 Mos of $25.00/mo. I am not working suddenly to the sudden deaths in my family over the last 5 months. She sympathized with me, said she would be happy to work with me during this difficult time. She then calls says she knows nothing of our conversation and wouldn't agree to lower payments and theref9re she will refer to client to proceed with legal and sue. This is not what I needed today. I asked that she please listen while I recap our conversation she refused over and over. The original client and this law firm are terrible. Watch your back. Beware! Very shady and underhanded behavior from this law firm. By far the worst "collections" experience I've encountered. After health issues and job losses we were in debt to a dental office for work that was done years earlier to which we couldn't pay. After 2020 the Cherrington Firm sent a Constable to the home. With a firearm at his side we were forced under duress to make payment arrangements with him or risk losing our possessions. We did so even under the worst financial downfall we've experienced and as work was difficult to obtain after the pandemic. We made said payment arrangements to the Constable without knowledge that HALF of our payments would be going toward fees for the constable and not to the primary debt.This was never disclosed to us and when asked the Cherrington firm was unable or unwilling to help us find out why the debt wasn't being paid down according to the payments we made. The original amount owed to the dental office was around $1600. In total we paid nearly $4000 after all the fees and costs that were added on. Our experience with them was that they were incredibly unhelpful, rude and used tactics that shouldn't be legal (ie sending a man with a gun to our home to collect on a debt). Take heed. read more

Tammy and Casey were very helpful and patient while I tried to fight the doctor office. They called me to collect on a doctors bill I had never received. They were patient with me while I tried to dispute with the doctors office. They didn't add any extra fees during this process. I paid them and the process was easy. I recommend these guys but don't go to Medullas urgent care if you move. They won't change your address and then will charge you fees without contacting you and then send you to collections. But this firm always answered my questions and were helpful. read more

My interaction with this law firm left me concerned about the state of the legal field. A representative initiated contact with me, and after discovering the purpose of the call, I asked several questions pertinent to that purpose. While maintaining a professional tone, the representative did not answer my questions to my satisfaction, and would not give me contact information for someone who could. I was able to discover a means of following up on the issue without this firm's assistance. read more
