Tucked away in a small village, this hotel is amazing. I mean, even the road to get in is amazing! I know how hard it is to book a hotel that you've never stayed at before, or even seen but you will not regret staying her.
Location: In Andermatt, with a little stream in the back of the property. It is a smaller village but there's a beautiful church in the back too.
Rooms: We stayed in a deluxe room. The rooms were spacious and more than comfortably fit two people. The room has a small living area with a low table (you sit on the ground). The hotel definitely takes their cue from Japanese minimalism with nice mixes of luxe. Each room has a nespresso maker. There was also two bottles of water, their famous wine, and a fruit basket!
The bed was super comfy, not to firm or soft. Sheets were clean and soft.
There was also a patio attached, and it was just amazing sitting outside to enjoy the view.
Room was super techy with an ipad to control lights + air. Honestly just did it manually, way easier.
Bathroom: Clean + Modern with a large stand-alone tub, separate showers and toilet. We went during the summer but I think the floors are heated.
Other Things: I really really enjoyed their specialty fruit tea that they serve upon check-in. There is also an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. We tried the Asian food at the restaurant and it was okay. Smaller portions but decent. They have a library! Also any of the books that you see on display can be borrowed. Breakfast should be included. read more
