Reached out to H.D. Roseth & Associates for tax planning services and communication was poor from…read morethe start. When I raised the issue, Danny Roseth responded with a long justification about how busy he is -- including being "up since 5 in the morning," having "80 emails" he "hasn't had a second to look at," and that his normal response time is "2-3 days." I'm sure he's busy, but if that's the standard expectation for responsiveness before you even become a client, it's an easy pass for me. I was looking for a tax advisor who has the capacity to take on new clients and communicate in a timely, consistent way -- without needing to justify delays as an unavoidable "feature" of the business that clients should simply accept. I don't. update If you look at Danny's comments, what's missing? Accountability. Not we could have done better. Not an awareness that communication takes two parties. Instead, calling me an internet troll. Making me the problem. In 35 years, every client was happy? What company has a perfect record? Perfection is a goal. Not reality. But I guess I'm an internet troll. I don't recall any name calling.

Now we are being slapped with a $490 late fine by IRS. We even paid extra for IRS follow up queries which this person and H&R Block are supposed to help with but repeated emails and texts go unanswered. I guess since they are culpable for this fine now they are giving us the silent treatment. They charged us so much to file for our personal as well as LLC yet they are incompetent to do the one job they are supposed to do. Beware before you go to them and Ryan Lee in particular. Save yourself the hassle and fines and go elsewhere.

The Law: An accountant cannot use their backend administrative access to a client's bank routing numbers to pull cash whenever they feel like it. He did not send an invoice, get an executive signature, or get our consent. He used his administrative portal access to unilaterally extract $470.00 from there account. Then in July 2025 they ABANDON their services and still pay themselves. Under Illinois law, using administrative computer access to take funds without explicit authorization is an illegal conversion of funds.
