Then my husband was bothered by this since I had sent him all our private info, so he called Kyle and got the same promises. Nothing again, and we keep trying to get in touch. If he's busy, just say so! But don't request all our very personal, identity documents then fall off the grid. Very very unsettling and more importantly HIGHLY unprofessional. I was looking forward to working with him! But seems like professional maturity and stability is highly lacking, beware. UPDATE FROM KFN RESPONSE: I'm a professional project manager, there is absolutely no way I would miss a meeting I had been adamantly requesting for weeks. It's disappointing how unbelievably inaccurate this response is, to the point I may need to alert Yelp itself. When I raised the issue, Danny Roseth responded with a long justification about how busy he is -- including being "up since 5 in the morning," having "80 emails" he "hasn't had a second to look at," and that his normal response time is "2-3 days." I'm sure he's busy, but if that's the standard expectation for responsiveness before you even become a client, it's an easy pass for me. I was looking for a tax advisor who has the capacity to take on new clients and communicate in a timely, consistent way -- without needing to justify delays as an unavoidable "feature" of the business that clients should simply accept. I don't. update If you look at Danny's comments, what's missing? Accountability. Not we could have done better. Not an awareness that communication takes two parties. Instead, calling me an internet troll. Making me the problem. In 35 years, every client was happy? What company has a perfect record? Perfection is a goal. Not reality. But I guess I'm an internet troll. I don't recall any name calling.

BUt they had employees working on Sat until 5 pm. THey wanted someone small and local. he got too busy this year opening an office in croatia where he planned to be "for the rest of the year." THEY HAVE THIS ON EMAIL. how does he process payroll, book keeping and taxes that far away. the 7 plus hour time difference was a problem. so my dad's million dollar company was too small i guess. payroll is late by the 3rd time they complain. instead of Goran, the ceo, fixing the situation. he complains about our "tone" in ONE email. he trys to gives them one day notice to terminate a signed contract. THEY had to remind him THEY PREPAID so he is paid until the end of the month in 2 weeks. he sends digital records can not access and promises hard copies. THEY are due a refund and records because it was prepaid for some services. it has been a MONTH. nothing sent. they are not responding! they claim to have an attorney, he is not responding either. he is too busy to service "small" clients.MY MOM is filing claims against his company with frc.

Right now the woman that takes care of me is Amy and as all my past experiences with Bensman, I am pleased with her level of service. I have also bought a life insurance policy from Robert Friedman and he was helpful. It was a cheap term policy that's in place, and has not needed any servicing so I have no complaints in that area. I think it may be a little cheaper if I bought insurance over the internet but the few times I have needed service its nice to know I have one designated person that I can go to and they get things done.

We had arranged a phone call to discuss my insurance needs and unfortunately, something came up unexpectedly on my schedule & I was not able to call him when we had arranged. I called & emailed him early in the day letting him know something had come up and asked when we could reschedule for. After a few days of not hearing back from him, I again called and left him a VM & emailed him - still nothing. After a week of no response to multiple attempts to reach him, I reached out to a friend of mine that works in his office (different department) - explaining that Tim was MIA and asked if there was anyone else that could help me as I simply wasn't comfortable working with Tim any longer. Within minutes of my email to my pal, Tim was calling me. I was not in my office to take his call however. By the time I got his VM, it was WAY after business hours. His VM to me apologized and he said (and I quote) that he "dropped the ball" in getting back to me. I awoke to an email from him this morning saying he had left me a VM yesterday (which he did) but would be out of the office all day today. I emailed him back explaining that I simply wasn't comfortable working with him at this point and asked if anyone else was available. He responded saying he had made several attempts to contact me....a LIE! In fact, his VM clearly states that he dropped the ball and never got back to me. He "cc'd" my pal on this email and I think was trying to save face. My pal is a gem......if I were able to work directly with him on my needs, I would give Bensman Associates another try, but because he is unable, I am taking my business elsewhere. In a time when we have choices and when the economy is in such a state, I am shocked & disappointed in Bensman and especially in Tim Maurer. Maybe my business wasn't big enough for him......maybe he has so much business rolling in that he doesn't need new clients/accounts........maybe he has a bridge to sell me too. I would suggest to anyone that they NOT take their business insurance needs to Bensman Associates or Tim Maurer - not when there are so many other companies out there showing that they value the small business owner.
